Leo didn't attempt struggling as he was dragged through the tunnels. It hadn't gone well for Sandra, now being carried by two girls. He only wished they had let him hold onto her while she was unconscious.
Trenton had a knife pressed to his throat the whole way up out of the catacombs and into the blinding sunlight. His sister refused to do anything, fearing for her brother's life. Darius was getting dragged just as harshly as Leo.
Why did you trust them? Darius asked. Leo rolled his eyes.
They didn't give us up. You heard Sandra. She didn't want me getting hurt.
She might not be the same Sandra you knew. She said she had died and then was brought back. What if for evil purposes?
How about we try and remember that what got her unconscious in the first place was the fact that she had tried to free you. Darius kept his thoughts to himself after that.
They were dragged into a rickety building, bricks missing and crumbling left and right. They were pulled up several stories until they reached a floor near the top. The floor was covered in different patches of rugs. The walls were decorated with graffiti paint and posters that basically defined the girls' purpose. To kill all Cranks past the Gone and men of any kind.
Leo and Darius got tossed onto the floor, Leo shrieking as his open wound touched the rough floor. He looked up to see Law and Ted.
"Nice to see you guys," Law greeted sarcastically, giving them a cold smirk. "I was just telling these ladies how they haven't caught my two best men. Looks like I was wrong." Leo rolled his eyes. Then he heard a moan that sounded a little more feminine.
"Sandra," he called, getting up. She was on the ground, near his position. Leo slowly crawled toward her, pulling her closer to the group when he had reached her. Sandra opened her eyes, blinking rapidly.
"Please don't tell me Olivia knocked me out," she sighed, gripping his hand as she massaged her forehead. Leo shrugged.
"Not sure which is her-"
"She did," Piora cut in, sitting close by with her brother on her hip. Sandra groaned.
"I still beat you in sparring practice, so don't let it get to your head." Their captors laughed hysterically, slapping one of the girls on the back. Olivia maybe. The girl with black hair and green eyes stepped forward.
"Oh, you and your records are dead to us, traitor," she spat, spit flying into Sandra's face. Leo, holding her in his arms, could feel her breath quicken. He held her down when she tried to charge the girl. He didn't want to lose her again. Especially when they seemed to be outnumbered skill set wise.
The girl turned back to her cult, shouting, "Two of our own betrayed us! Taking the side of men and bribing two others in order to complete their dastardly goals!" The room of girls booed and jeered. It was an angry mob, only twenty times worse because of the insanity vibes they gave off. Some even foamed at the mouth. "Let them be a lesson! This is what happens when you betray and use your sisters! You die with the infidels whom poisoned you!" The girls cheered, all crying for blood. The leader, most likely Dandy, let the cheers ring out a little longer, slowly sealing their fates.
"Treat their wounds," Dandy ordered one of them. "They must be well if they are to die... properly." The way she had said the word sent chills down Leo's spine. The crowd exited the room while the one who had been singled out stayed behind and bandaged their few wounds. After she was finished, she left the room. Leo shivered, almost positive he had seen the girl lick his blood off her fingers.
"So," Law said, turning to the newcomers, "it seems you picked up a couple traitors while you were adventuring in the tunnels." Sandra rolled her eyes.
