It's evening now and Cade got the fire going strong with some dead brush. Tessa and Shane are snuggling, I haven't done that in three years, it seriously hurts more than anything. But who would like someone like me? I'm a werewolf! I could really harm someone if I wanted to, but I keep it under control.
I'm sitting on top of one of the large rock structures, I walked up here for some alone time. The moonbeams shone brightly on the rock I sat on, reflecting the light back into the sky. I keep wondering if my parents were proud of me, probably not.
It's damn near impossible for me to impress them. Actually, my current father is my stepfather. I never met my real dad, and I probably never will. My stepdad is the one who beats me the most, but I'm not scared to set him straight. My mom is a different story.
She said that Dad left because of me, like I was a failure. She blames me for him leaving. Something about my mother scares me, I don't know what. If only they could see me now. Working alongside the Autobots, confronting Lockdown twice, beating Savoy at his own game...
"Sarah?" I heard someone behind me. I turned and saw Optimus there.
"Hey Optimus." I said glumly.
"Something wrong?" He asks concerned.
"I'm just thinking about my family." I sighed.
"You miss them?" Optimus kneels down.
"Not by a long shot." I grumbled. He looked rather surprised at my answer.
"Problems in your family?" I nod.
"My mother and stepfather abuse me for no reason. They won't let me be who I want to be, they don't let me live my life," I sigh, "My mother blames me for my father leaving..."
I heard a small gasp coming from Optimus, a surprised gasp at that. I look up at him, confused more than anything.
"What?" I ask. Optimus shook his head.
"What you just said made me think of a past memory." He said sadly.
"What about? You don't have to tell me if you don't want to." I say understandingly.
"Years and years ago, I fell in love with a human. Her and I had a child, a daughter at that." Optimus spoke slowly.
"What was the your wife's name?" I ask. Optimus looked down at me with his electric blue eyes.
"Her name was Katherine." He said.
"Oh my god...That's my mother's name...." I said in disbelief, could it possibly be..? Optimus returned the shocked look at me.
"It is?" He asks. I nod.
"Y-yes. One more question, did you leave Katherine because of your child?" I ask.
"Absolutely not. I cared for my daughter greatly, I left them both for their own safety. My daughter, she had a birthmark shaped like a Cybertronian symbol on the back of her neck." Optimus continued.
"I always thought it was a tattoo..." I said in shock. Optimus' eyes widened after I said that.
I turned my back to him and moved my red and blue hair, showing the tattoo I always thought was a past punishment.
"Is this the birthmark?" I ask.
"Dear Primus..." I turned back to see a speechless Optimus. In all the movies, I've never seen him so shocked.
"D-dad?" I stutter. He nods slowly and put his hand down, I step onto it. He held me to his chest, putting his other hand over me, attempting to hug me. I press myself against my fathers large metal chest, feeling the loving comfort I've never felt.
I start to cry. I haven't cried in 7 years, it feels so good to finally let it out. My father is Optimus Prime, THE Optimus Primus. I'm his sparkling, I'm a Prime as well. I cry the hardest I can, only I'm crying tears of joy.
"You've grown up so much." Optimus said warmly.
"17 years old..." I choke out. My father rubs his large metallic thumb on my head, trying to calm me down. It takes a few minutes for me to calm down, then I look up into Dads glowing blue eyes.
"Dad, I have so much to tell you." I said happily.
