so ya heres the hiking trip!!!! Enjoy:)

The gravel road makes a crunching sound as James drives over the small rocks. We are in the middle of nowhere. Apparentley, James' dad used to take James here when James was a young boy. Before James had lived in the general area before, but he just recently moved back.

James parks the car in front of a large tree and opens the car door to get out. Slamming the car door behind him, he runs around the back to my side to open my door for me. Such great etiquette! What a gentleman!

"Thank you." I tell James flashing him a grin.

"Welcome." he replies smoothly.

We open the trunk and grab our backpacks. I have a rugged, old and tattered army green one while his is a nice dark, maroon, red. It's definitely new.

James leads me to the beginning of four trails. The signs next to the trails say, "easy", "normal", "hard", and "extreme". "Which one do you want to do? Start easy?" asks James.

"Naah. I want a challenge. Let's do extreme!" I say excitedly.

"Are you sure?" he asks giving me a look of disbelief.

"Yeah! Why not? It'll be fun!" I say enthsiastically.

"I've never been on this trail before." says James.

"On, then we should definitely grab a map!" I say.

"There aren't any. Looks like they're out."

"I think I saw a ranger station a while back. Maybe theyll have a copy."

"Maps are for schmucks. Well be fine as long as we follow the trail." James says.

"Okay. Whatever you say. Let's go." I say.

My knees start to hurt after a few minutes of hiking up the steep dirt path. I can tell this is going to be one hard hike. On the way up, James and I make easy talk trying to take our mind off the pain and soreness in our legs.

Soon enough, we arrive at a creek. It's actually very clear and clean. There are some rapids and I can hear the water trickling down the stones. It's so peaceful!

Suddenly, something lands in my hand. "Whyd you just give me a small net?" I ask James.

"We are going to catch some grub!"

"But the fish here are too small to eat."

"Oh well. We can just catch the tiny fishes for fun and then set them free back into the creek."

"Okay." I say. I hop down to a lower elevation, so I am closer to the water. I see a school of fish comic and I swipe my net. I don't catch anything and the fish all scurry away. I have never done this before. It might be harder than I thought it would be.

After a few more tries, I finally manage to catch a fish! I shriek in delight and James comes over cr his nearby fishing spot to see my catch. "Look at the fishie! Oh my gosh I did it!" Before James can get all the way to me, the squirmy fella flops around and manages to jump out of my net. My fish plops back into the water.

"Where is it?" asks James.

"Never mind." I say dissappointed.

"Okay. Let's fish for just a little while longer." James suggests and I agree. I must catch a fish before we leave!
