It was the beginning of winter. The temperature was going down and the snowflakes danced around Scarlet as he walked down the abandoned path. Sighing, Scarlet trudged along as memories from previous years flooded back to him.
"These snowflakes are so pretty," Scarlet muttered.
Snowflakes kissed his hands and face so delicately he stopped to marvel at the sky. For a very horrifying day Scarlet felt very light. He definitely enjoyed the beauty of nature. He even decided to buy another bouquet of flowers to match the one he already held in his hand.
The small detour to the flower shop made Scarlet pay attention to the feelings he pushed away.
Being so close to his destination Scarlet was trying with all his might not to give in to his desire to lash out right there in the middle of the busy city.
"I'm almost there. I can make it."
As Scarlet finally got to the entrance he let out a sigh of relief, pushing the gates open.
Scarlet set off on his journey, constantly scanning the area for the place he knew like the back of his hand. A beautiful smile stretched across Scarlet's face as he settled down in the grass next to the person who had his heart.
"Hello love. Sorry I'm late. I had to stop by the flower shop but I got your favorite."
Scarlet placed the lilacs on the ground, applauding himself for finding her favorite flowers even when it was snowing.
"You know I almost had to quit my job because they almost didn't give me today off. I would never miss today or any day i wanted to come and visit you. I'd hate myself if I ever missed it."
Scarlet let a tear slide down his pale face.
"I really do love you. I know I tell you this every day and I may annoy you but that's my job to do so isn't it?"
A small chuckle escaped his lips until he was laughing so hard his stomach started to hurt and tears were streaming down his face. At this point Scarlet didn't even know what to feel.
"I love spending time with you. I wish I could spend more time with you but you know I can't because of work and all. I know you probably want to see where I work by now and who I live with. Oh, Juliette. You would love her. Maybe I'll bring her here soon and I'll finally get to introduce you two. Dont get jealous because I have another woman in my life. I hope both of you would get along."
The sudden realization that someone was near by made Scarlet a little uneasy. Were they listening to their conversation? He let the person approach him, not caring if they heard the conversation he was going to continue.
"The day is so pretty today, isn't it? When I was walking along the path–"
"Scar?"
"Oh, hello Juliet."
"Who are you talking to?"
"What do you mean? I'm talking to my sister. Would you like to be introduced? Oh, I know how much she'll love you."
"Scarlet, you didn't tell me that your sister passed away."
Scarlet stared at Juliette blankly.
"I don't know what you're talking about."
"Scarlet, we're in a cemetery. I came to pick you up because you asked me to. Love, your sister is dead."
