For the next few weeks Scarlet spent his days wallowing in sadness and pain. He didn't know how to feel after realizing his sister had been dead for a while now.

Scarlet hated Juliette with a passion. He hasn't spoken to her in three weeks even after she kept apologizing every time she made eye contact with him.

Who knows why she's even trying to get through to him.

Scarlet decided that today would be the day he would talk to her but not for the reason she'd think.

He dreaded walking to her door and knocking.

Juliette opened the door with a smile.

"I want you to leave. Pack your bags and I'll help you with all of your belongings. This isn't going to work out anymore."

The smile on Juliette's face dropped and a tear slipped down her face.

"Really? You're kicking me out?"

"That's exactly what I said."

"Why? Over your sister? I didn't do anything wrong!"

Scarlet clenched his teeth as he tried his hardest not to punch the wall beside him as he spoke.

"There was no reason for your inappropriate actions while in my sister's presence. I have no concern for your say in this. This is my apartment and I have been sheltering you out of sheer will but I no longer have that desire so I'm telling you now to pack up your belongings."

Juliette felt a pang in her chest as Scarlet walked away from her. Despite the anger towards her she had hope that Scarlet would get over it and love her again. How could she have been so stupid as to think that he would? She was the one who was in love with her best friend, not him.

Again and again she asked herself; "How could I have been so stupid?"
