"Lin doesn't know you like him, does she?"

Yeojin took her eyes off of the pair eating together at a table and looked down at her food. "She doesn't need to know," she mumbled and put her food into her mouth.

"Jin," Sunhee sighed, "she's your best friend too."

"And that's why I can't tell her. It will hurt her. I don't want to hurt her."

"You think she won't be hurt if she find out later?"

Yeojin was struck with guilt and stared at her friend before her gaze traveled back to Sehun and Lin at a a distant table. "I will stop liking him." She wanted to slap herself because it didn't sound convincing even to herself.

Sunhee watched her with a sad smile. "You don't sound so sure, but whatever you choose, I got your back." She gave Yeojin's hand a little squeeze. "And Lin does too."

Yeojin mustered a smile, but her heart broke a little when her eyes strayed to the pair again. Lin was talking animatedly, putting on the brightest smile she had. Sitting across Lin, Sehun didn't look as enthused as her, but he gave a small smile every now and then.

The smile he used to put on only when he was with her, Yeojin sadly thought.

It had been four days since she saw Sehun hug Lin, and her relationship with him wasn't getting any better. It was as if they no longer had any connection with each other. Luckily, that wasn't the situation with Kris. They were going back to where they had left off before the kiss when they were just mending their friendship.

Yet, she knew this time it wasn't the same as before. They would never be the same. She knew his feelings for her now. They were friends again but with different feelings. Their friendship was no longer innocent and naive. Yeojin honestly didn't know what to feel about that.

She went home with bags of groceries in her hands. Baking and cooking sounded like a good distraction to take her mind off the stress of final paper and complicated relationships. Kris had suggested the idea the day before, and she agreed. After changing into sweater and pants, she came out of the room tying her hair and decided to bake cookies since Kris had warned her not to cook for dinner. He wanted to whip something up for that later.

By the time Kris came home, she was making cookie dough balls and had lined some on the pan. Watching him hung his autumn coat near the door, she frowned. "Aren't you too early to be home?"

Loosening his tie, he shrugged as he entered the kitchen. "Nothing left to do in the office." He came to her side gazing at the dough balls. "And I promised someone I would prepare dinner." He chuckled when she rolled her eyes. "Baking cookies?"

"Uhuh." She nodded rolling another dough into the last ball. After putting the last ball on the pan, she dug two fingers into the remaining dough and held them to him. "Wanna try?"

"That's not baked yet." He moved away looking disgusted.

"But it's good," she argued holding her dough-covered fingers close to his lips.

He pushed her forehead with a finger. "You go eat it."

Swatting his hand away, she clicked her tongue. "You're no fun. But oh well! Your loss!" She licked the dough off a finger and closed her eyes humming in content. "Mmm. This tastes heaven! You sure you don't want it?" She held the other finger to him again.

Kris somehow looked flustered and he lightly slapped her hand away. "That's disgusting!"

"Eyy," she teased and tried to poke his lips with her finger, but he dodged it. "Come on! Try it! Just once!" She grinned playfully.
