Army Girl

New Day

It's been three days since I signed up for the army I still can't believe it either could other people. my mom hated the thought of me going where my dad died, she kept on saying how she can't lose me and how she couldn't bear it.

Flash Back- three days ago....

"So did you sign up for UND?" my mom asked me after I got home from school.

"No, I didn't actually." I said calmly

"Really? I thought you really wanted to go there?" questioning in her voice

"Well I guess I changed my mind the last minute." I said simply

"Oh, so what college did you sign up for then?" she asked

"Actually I didn't sign up for a college." I said a little bit more nervous

"Oh, well that's okay you can take a break from school and stay home and relax and all but next year you better go to college!" she said sternly

"Well I can't stay home I'm going to be leaving a stuff." I said super nervous now

"What? Where are you going? Iris is there something your not telling me?" she asked with a worried expression on her face

"Look mom, I kinda signed up for..." I trailed off trying to think of a good way to tell her.

"Signed up for what? Spit it out Iris!" My mom was getting mad now

"Mom I signed up for th-the.." I started stuttering because know I'm super nervous. my mom was just starting at me for an answer, "ah" I breathed out.

"Mom I sighed up for the Army." Right when I said that I saw my mom's face fall and then she started crying and begging for me not to go.

"I can't lose you! I already lost one of the people I love more then anything I can't lose another please don't go! YOU CAN'T LEAVE. I CAN'T LOSE YOU!" My mom started sobbing out.

I just looked at her a walked up to her and hugged her and said the only words I could say.

"You Will Never Lose Me!"

Flash Back Ended...

Ever since then me and my mom have been hanging out a lot to save up memories.

Tomarrow is graduation day not the accrual day wear I can throw my hat up in the air but it's like we get to go up and share we are going and I get share that I'm going to be soldier. The day when I officially become a soldier and become a army member. I had to right this huge speech I have to say after I get my commission to become a soldier.

I even got my uniform, you know those soldier uniforms.

while all the other girls are wearing fancy dresses and have their hair and makeup done, I get to wear my uniform with my hair tucked in my hat and only a little bit of makeup nothing much.

I'm nervous for tomorrow, I hope it goes good.
