I was seven. I just turned seven.

My mom and I had a short vacation in a villa.

The cloudy sky, swaying trees, the cool atmosphere, the birds' whispers, the sound of the waves, ALL-AROUND-PEACE !! My mom really loves these kindo scenes ..

I was seven. I just turned seven.

It was a sunny morning, and I used to play behind the house, under the big, big, acacia tree.

I lay myself under the tree, watch the birds fly, and hear their lovely songs.

I was seven. I just turned seven.

I was distractred when a queery little bird flew in front of me. I immediately sat up, then I stood up when I stared at the bird.

Weird. Weird bird. It was unlike the others. Its colors were glowing.. The colors were really glowing !! The blue! Purple! Green ! They're glowing !

I walked nearer and closer to the bird. The colors grew brighter as I took one step closer to it. It flew to one branch of the acacia tree. I followed. It flew up to a higher branch of the tree. I followed. It flew up higher again. I followed. I climbed up and up and up and up, as I followed the bird, flying up and up and up.... and up.... up... and up... then up....

I realized later on I was climbing the tree a little longer. This tree isn't that tall .. How could I climb up this high? I wondered, and took a peek below myself .. and IT WAS ONE THING I DON'T UNDERSTAND.

I was miles and miles and miles away from the ground !!!!! This is impossible !!!!!! The tree grew taller than the house ! Than the building ! I could see the curve of the earth from here !

I was seven. I just turned seven.

To my fear, I lost one grip of my hand to the tree, and, thinking it was hopeless to hold on, I let go of my other hand. And fell.

I shouted. I shouted my mom's name. I can't cry because of the pressure of going down.

ANOTHER THING I DON'T UNDERSTAND. I fell. I fell on the ground, feeling like i just jumped an inched away from it.

I stood up, looked around, and saw a different place. I DON'T UNDERSTAND.

It was an empty green grassy ground, and I was standing under a tree- the acacia tree I climbed up to.

Whrere am I? Where's mom?

And finally. I cried. I cried a lot. Louder

I wanna go home....

I buried my face with my two palms.

Then, I felt a shadow infront of me. I looked up, and saw a girl, a woman rather, with her white, long-sleeved gown with red laces.

She smiled to me.

"Who are you? Where am I? Where's my mom? I wanna go home.. Can you help me ? Please??" I grabbed her dress then stood up, "Please??"

She held my two hands and wiped my tears on both my cheeks.

"I will help you go home, Kate, I will."

How did she know my name?

"Let's go. I'll show you something." She smiled, and held still my left hand. She pulled me with her.

"My name's Aeia. You can call me by my name."

"A-e-ya.." I said, then she smiled.

We walked and walked and walked, until we saw a pretty little white house nearby. I wonder, why this is the only house standing in this place. And the place itself.. it's foggy.. I can't really identify if it's morning or evening or what.. And how did i get in this place anyway??

"I wanna go home, Aeya.. I wanna go home.. My mom will get worried .. And a while ago I was just playing in-"

"Ssshhh..." She put her index finger on her mouth, signalling 'be quiet.'

We got inside the house. I saw a liitle boy, with a dress like Aeya's. He was sitting on the corner, Indian seated, with a sword on his lap. His eyes were closed.

"Ka-ia." Aeya said. The boy opened his eyes. He looke at me. He had blue eyes. Like mine.

"Go to your room for now." The boy stood up without saying anything. He get in to another door, carrying the sword.

In a minute it was just me and Aeya in the room. I wonder how she got it but she holds a sword now, a big sword, bigger than the boy's. She walked closer to me and offered me the sword.

"Take this, Kate, it's yours."

Mine ????
