My heart bled to cry, but I knew deeply, I needed to be strong.
"We are leaving. There is no need of asking that which we already know! Let's leave Amare."
Amare followed behind me quietly, out-of-the-blue she halted herself, took hold of my hand and made me halt too. She signaled me to hush down, as I had gotten a bit grumpy. I felt my mouth open up with astonishment to what Amare pointed to.
Nacis!?
He didn't seem to notice us, but we quickly clasped our hands together, our gaze straight towards Mercury and we were sucken back to Immortal Earth. We glanced at each other knowing something isn't just right - We saw Nacis entering Arnoldus's house.
I've always been suspicious of Nacis, since I became an immortal till every time I still meet him. It's like he lives with an aura of conspiracies, or rather, a net, made deep enough to strangle anyone down including himself. On the other hand of my thoughts, I suppose I find him suspicious because of his eyes constantly searching & looking at Amare. Yes! That seems more triggering to the suspension in me. Though he possesses a humble tone in his voice; it's deep enough to catch the attraction of any young girl.
"So, son. How's my to be son-in-law?"
I startled up, realizing that I had already reached father's cave with my eyes in thoughts. I quickly turned left and right to look for Amare, where did she go?
"son-in-......What? Who?" I replied completely confused.
"Who else? Nacis. Of course!" His eyes gleamed up and his leaned towards me and whispered.
"Ya'kn, he's handsome, has a muscular toned body, has a respectful way of conversing, is kind, is handsome....""You already mentioned that, dad" I abrupted.
"Ah, well, that's not the point son." He hushed his voice even more "He is perfect for my sweetheart, and has a corner in his heart for her."
"Firstly, end with whispering, father, there is no one around. Secondly, I wouldn't give that idiot to someone who only has a "corner" for her."
"You need to learn. Love only increases, if you love someone to the slightest that love only increases and increases. If you don't love someone, you might never love that person. Love only keeps budding."
" Father! Relax those philosophical souls in you. She's only 19 there is absolutely no need for her to think about people like "him". Okay?"
"Oh right. On another note, do you know who exactly Nacis is?" I continued.
"Nacis? He is really unique from among all the immortals. And that's all I know about him." Father tried answering. But, just as me, he had no definition of Nacis.
I left father's cave and retreated back into my cave. Remembering, the time my father potentially killed me. Did he really have pure intentions? No matter how I though about it, I couldn't resist the urge to negate my question. Yes, he definitely didn't possess pure intentions. Just then, a hard knock broke my deep thoughts.
"Amare!" I explained. "What's up? All good?" I asked her.
"About father..." She began, but she looked uncertain.
"What about him?" I quickly broke her.
"Don't trust him." Her eyes looked straight into mine.
"Why?"
"Because, Arbor, you rotten child," She smiled and clenched her teeth. Then continued ,"he's not trustworthy. As a matter of fact, when you're immortal, no one is trustworthy."
She left my cave right after she completed her sentence, but it still seemed as if she was concealing something. Why would Amare come in just to tell me that father is untrustworthy? Wait, wasn't I feeling the similar a while ago? I lay down on my bed, and though, immortals don't need sleep, sleeping is like a hobby to us, it's peaceful.
.................................................................................
I woke up to the sound of loud screeches, they pinched my ears. I looked around, my cave is the way it had been. I walked outside, placing my palms on my ears. I saw someone's figure 80m away from my cave. The figure was tall, exceptionally tall. I began walking over to the figure, it turned around. That's when I look at her, and I received an answer to my question. The screeches stopped, and so did I. She spoke.
"There you are, Arbor, I've been waiting for you."

I am back after a year! But I remembered how much I love writing.
Btw, I burned my hand while removing cake from the oven.
