I woke up, at what seemed to be the middle of the night,
'Maybe I can escape.' I thought to myself, I got up and headed for the door. I turned the knob to find it unlocked,
'Well that's funny' I opened the door and started to walk out,
'Where was the entrance again?' Not knowing which way to go, I picked a random direction and started my journey to what I hoped was the entrance.
After what I believe to be an hour or two, I finally found the entrance, I walked over to it and opened the door, what I saw was truly, breathtaking.
The beautiful roses from earlier were now glowing, the trees leaves where glowing too, I could see the fireflies dancing in the sky, I wanted to dance with them too, to be free without a care or a worry, but I can't, not now, not ever, I will be forced to live my life in a world so terrible that it will make Hell seem like a dream, but if I leave this place, where will I go? Where will I stay? I can't go back to that living hell known as my house, I don't have any friends house to stay in. I walked over to the garden and sat in the middle, thinking, listening to the crickets chirping and the frogs croaking. After what seemed like ages, the sun started to rise, I got up and decided that I will stay here until I can figure things out.
As I walk into the mansion I bump into someone,
"Oh sorry I didn-" I stopped talking when I looked up to see Anthony with a look of fury on his face.
"I thought I told you to stay in your room unless I say so!" I cringed at how loud his voice was,
"I was- I did- garden- um, Master." I squeaked in a terrified voice,
"I don't wanna here it!" He boomed, grabbing my hair and pulling me all the way to my room. When he got me to my room, he threw me on the bed, and started yelling about how I thought I was to good to listen to the rules, and every time I tried to defend myself he would slap me, after what seemed like an hour, he finally left, as soon as he closed the doors I started bawling. Why? Why, does life have to hate? Why didn't I just end it when I had the chance, it would have saved me so much pain, so much tears, and so much heartbreak.
I think back to the time I actually had a friend.*Flashback*
It was the first day of kindergarten, A group of kids were picking on some kid at recess, I walked over to them and said,
"Leave them alone! How would you like someone doing that to you, you big dumb, meanies?!" They looked at me, the biggest one smiled, walked over to me and grabbed my hair'
"And what are you gonna do about it, pipsqueak?" They pushed me to the ground and started kicking me, after a few minutes, they left, leaving me and the person alone.
"Thank you." I heard a small female voice say, I looked up to see that the person they were beating up was in fact a girl,
"For what?" I asked, waiting for a response,
"For helping me!"
"I know what it's like to be hurt, and I couldn't stand there and see someone else go through that same pain."
"I'm Iris, what's your name?"
"I'm Amber, nice to meet you."*End of Flashback*
After that we were inseparable, most nights I would stay at her house to avoid my parents, but one day she went missing, they never found her, and once again I was left alone in my sorrow.
"I miss you Iris." I say as a tear runs down my cheek.
I hear a knock on my door
"Come in."
When the door opens I almost start crying, I run up and hug the person standing at the door,
"Amber, is it really you?"
The person said while wrapping there arms around me,
"Yes it is, Iris."
