A new place...For now

After searching the web I've come to the conclusion that my parents went off the grid when the police started to suspect them of murdering me. I collected all of the newspapers and threw them away. I guess now was the chance to tell the police my story. I put on some new clothes, did my hair, and started walking to the police station a couple blocks away.

Once there I was able to get an officer to hear my story. I told them about what my parents had been doing to me for years, and about how they sold me.

When they asked questions about my experience at Anthony's, I lied and said that I was kept in a room, and the only person that went in there was a masked man. I said he was short and pudgy. I don't know why I lied but I did.

When they were done hearing my story. They explained that although I was technically old enough to live on my own, they would feel better if I went to live with someone, and since the only other family relative was my Aunt who wanted nothing to do with me, I would be staying at an officers house until they found someone willing to take me in. The officer's name was Clementine Bowter.

Her house was nice, not nearly as nice as the mansion, but definitely nicer than my house. She had no family so it was just me and her there. She directed me to my new bedroom, gave me a smile and said,

"I hope you like it here." I looked at her nodded and said,

"I hope so too
