Blood infested, tiring, repetitive battles, half a year later...

"This is going to be the last battle." I told my soldiers. "I'm sick of all this war junk. I know a little over half of a year is really short for a war, but this kind of war makes half of a year too much. I want this to end. The last few battles are just like the same, tiring and boring, with the same layouts and ways of fighting and it wasn't clear who's gonna win. But this afternoon, we're going to take down Costaia!" The soldiers cheered and clapped. The meeting dispersed. I left the room, heading to the cafeteria for some food.

"You only became her advisor because you her some pretty words and used your charm. The war could've been over by now if you hadn't altered Her Majesty's plans! Her Majesty is smart! She could've destroyed Shane already! But you! As her adviser, you can talk to her about the plans without her getting suspicious and manipulate her into thinking your idea was right! You're the Devil. You want us to die don't you?" A harsh voice said from inside the cafeteria. Sounds of someone punching another reached my ears. It must be Lelouch! I thought. Who else could it be? He's getting hurt, maybe I should help him. I was about to open the doors to give the bully a piece of my mind when Lelouch spoke up.

"You think I enjoy this?" He said coldly. "Half of a year of war is nothing to what I've been through! You think I manipulated Her Majesty so that we could lose the war? Well, open your eyes! Shane is trying to kill me too! Why would I try to make us lose?!" Soon, he was shouting at the top of his lungs.

"Well, Shane could've gotten to you and promised to let you live if you destroyed us! You're not physically strong enough to kill us on the battlefield but Shane knows you're smart and you could use your brains to get us to trust you then backstab us! No one will ever suspect that a mastermind will be trying to kill us with logic!" The bully screamed.

"What in the world is wrong with you?" Lelouch screamed back. "Why would I try to backstab you?! All the sleepless nights I had was to plan out everything so that you people can arrive back home safely! I'm exhausting myself to try to protect some brainless people like you!"

"Oh, boo-hoo. Someone is losing their precious beauty sleep. We're the ones that is frickin' risking our lives to protect you people safe in the command vehicle!" The bully shot back.

"So what?! If we lose, there'll be nothing to live for anyways!" Lelouch spat out, furious. I've never heard him act like this! "There isn't just physical pain, you know? There's mental pain too! Better be hurt on the outside then hurt on the inside!" He's talking about himself. I realized. He wants, no, needs, someone to understand his pain. He's so wrecked up inside he thinks he's better off dead.

"Enough!" I shouted, pushing open the doors. I surveyed the scene. Lelouch and the bully, Trevor, was standing awfully close to one another, fists clenched, eyes glaring. They look like they were about to brawl. Lelouch has red marks on his face, probably from Trevor's punches. But at my words, they snapped their heads towards me. "Enough." I repeated. "Why on Earth are you people fighting for? We have enough enemies as it is. And you guys are gonna brawl?! We have a battle coming up this afternoon! I believe you two have things to prepare, right?"

"Yes, Your Majesty." Trevor mumbled, bowing, embarrassed.

"It's alright." I said. "I understand. You're just nervous about the battle. But next time, please don't take it out on other people. It's not fair for them."

"Yes, Your Majesty." Trevor said again, ashamed. Everyone was staring at us. "Get back to what you're doing." I said to the audience. "Lelouch, you're coming with me."
