The Family That We Can't Get In

Soccer Madness

Ryan's POV
Waking up next to my girlfriend is actually amazing and I don't know if that feeling will ever fade she's just so amazing and beautiful and sweet and loving and she just means everything to me. I woke up and she was already awake and she was getting ready and at first I didn't really know why she was already awake and then she came over to me and kissed me and she said "are you gonna get up" and I smiled and was like "no why are you up" "because today is the day of the first sectional game of the season for soccer and since we make up most of the team we actually have to be in school all day even though we aren't gonna do anything" "oh I forgot we had school today you know since we never actually go to school" she sat on my lap "get your ass up babe we have to be at the school in a half hour" I didn't realize I only had a half hour to get ready she gave me clothes she must've picked out for me and I got up and went to the shower.
About a half hour later we were putting on our shoes and heading to the gators so we could ride over to the  corvettes. After that we got in and drove to school God I hate school. I wish we didn't even have to come today but since it's sectionals i geuss we should come to school. So we went in and went to our first class which would of course be spainish and we had a study hall because the soccer team players didn't have to do anything today as we were sitting in spainish Chelsea kept complaining of stomach pains and then she said it was probably just nerves. But throughout the day she kept complaining of it and still dismissing it as nerves but I'm starting to think something is wrong because she never complains about pain and she is which is really concerning. She took a bunch of asprin at lunch another thing that was making me nervous. I geuss I need to just stop worrying cause she is fine and she will be fine. So throughout the day we had mostly study halls and she kept grabbing my arm and squeezing it cause she was in pain. Her stomach was really hurting her I don't think it was nerves. I'm starting to think something is seriously wrong. But the day ended before I got the chance to ask her if she should go to the nurse even though I spend all day with her I didn't work up the nerve to ask her and even if I did she probably would tell me she's fine anyway. So after school she kissed me goodbye and went to the locker room to change for the game and then I was to meet her at the feild of course I wasn't allowed to drive her corvette so Josh drove me over to the feild and Jake drove Delaney's corvette over to the feild because all the girls were riding over in a mini bus to get excited for the game. When we got to the feild the stands were already packed the only spot left for people to sit was the Rutan reserved seating which is where we sat and watched as the girls warmed up the team they were playing was Poland and Poland has beat their team for 10 years in a row until the first Rutan grandkids started playing and then they lost for the first time in 10 years the Rutans just have that effect on teams. Anyway the game began and it was a pretty rough game and the girls were pretty pushy and this girl went up against Chelsea and pushed her right over with both arms extended and the ref blew the whistle immediately he red carded the girl and the game got worse the other team got even more rough four of their girls got red cards and by this time Chelsea had had enough she flipped the fuck out she had the ball and this girl went to push her over and she turned around passed the ball to Delaney and then she decked the girl from the other team and she didn't get called cause the ref didn't see it the other teams crowd went crazy screaming and yelling at the ref. The next time Chelsea got the ball three girls took her out and one kicked her hard in the stomach everyone in the crowd heard it and instead of staying on the ground and crying Chelsea stood up and tried to catch her breath she had her hands over her head and was trying to catch  breath and Delaney and Shayla both grabbed the girl that kicked her and pushed her to the ground then they kicked her until she was bleeding pretty bad the ref didn't call anything so the girl got taken off the feild and the game kept going. But Chelsea still hadn't caught her breath and the next time she got the ball another girl took her out and she didn't get up she layed on the ground and her sisters surrounded her withing seconds. Everything was silent as everyone waited to see if she was ok and we could tell she wasn't crying because we would have been able to hear it and no one heard it so the ref waited a minute because the first time she got back up and this time she wasn't and then Delaney yelled over to their coach that she was bleeding and then I got really worried. The coach ran acrossed the feild and she was breathing more like gasping for air and it seemed as if she couldn't catch it and then the coach asked for a phone and they were calling 911 and everyone in the stands was silent and since I was surrounded by the Rutan family I could sense the fear around me of every family member and then Jarisa sprinted over to us in the stands and she said "she can't breath and she's bleeding but we don't know where from and she has to go to the hospital since we are up by 8 goals the ref said he is calling the game and we won but there is no way she is getting up and coming over here and she wants Ryan" and she looked over at me and then she said "and Koda" so me and Koda immediately stood up and climbed down the bleachers and we went to the end of the fence so we could get into where Chelsea was and then the ref blew the whistle three times saying the game was over but I wasn't even paying attention to anyone else on the feild we went over to her and I couldn't  see anything at first but I could hear her still gasping for air why can't she breath by now what is happening Koda started to cry silently and the girls noticed us and Kyla, Kyleigh and Jarisa moved over so we could see her Delaney and Shayla didn't budge they weren't leaving her until the ambulance got there she was just laying there gasping for air and there was nothing anyone could do so we all stood there waiting for the ambulance and after what seemed like an hour the ambulance pulled up next to the feild and EMTs rushed over to us and everyone cleared out of the way so they could get to her they started asking her questions but it was no use cause she couldn't  breathe anyway so they hooked her up to oxygen and she was still kinda having problems with breathing and me and Koda went in the ambulance with her and the rest of the family followed us to the hospital. When we got to the hospital me and Koda were put in a waiting room and Chelsea was rushed off to another part of the hospital. We waited in silence Koda was crying and he said "is she going to be OK" I didn't know how to respond so I was quiet for a few seconds and then I said "she has to be remember she promised to never leave without saying goodbye and she won't give up trust me she will fight to stay here with you ok bud" he nodded and kept crying. About ten minutes later the entire family came in every cousins grandchildren great grandchildren and aunts and uncles to was their and of course Chelsea's Grandparents the heads of this family also. We waited  for what seemed like an hour and a nurse came in and she had a sad look on her face so she asked to speak with the grandmother and since she didn't want to go alone one of the aunts or maybe parents of Chelsea went in too I still hadn't figured out who her actual parents were they all seemed like a big family so it was hard to tell.they called every aunt mom and every uncle was called by their first name so i had no idea who her real parents were anyway they pulled them aside and said something to them and then they came out crying and said "she has to have surgery she has a hole in her lung which is why she couldn't breathe so we will be here for the next 12 hours if everything goes as planned and then they will put her in a hospital room and we will be able to see her but she will most likely be asleep" Everyone's faces dropped Chelsea's older sister Jennifer was a major doctor in this hospital but she wasn't working today so she could see the game she did however have access to go in and help with the surgery after the nurse spoke to the grandmother and the aunt or mom the grandmother looked at Jennifer and she said "do you think they would let you help with the surgery she is your sister you should be aloud to help right" Jen nodded her head and she went and changed into scrubs then she said goodbye to us and went to help with Chelsea's surgery.

Twelve hours later

Jennifer came into the room with a huge smile on her face and she said "she going to be fine" and so everyone in the room jumped up out of their seats with joy and celebrated. Jen then told us what room she would be in and we all headed for that room when we got there Chelsea was asleep and she looked like she was in a coma or something so the entire family took turns holding her hand and talking to her and then everyone left except Koda, Shayla, Delaney, Jared and I we stayed with her all night. She didn't wake up once and I would know cause I didn't sleep at all. Everyone kinda took turns sleeping but I didn't sleep at all. I sat in a chair holding her hand by the bed and I didn't move at all unless I went to the bathroom. The next morning came and I still hadn't slept and she still hadn't waken up yet so I was really confused Jennifer was the first family member to return the next day and she checked Chelsea out and her eyes got big when she looked at Chelsea's arm to fix her IV she was covered in a rash and a pretty bad one so Jennifer switched her medicine and the rash went away quickly and then she slept and slept and slept for what seemed like forever to me.
Two days later
She still hasn't woken up and I'm not the only one worried anymore the whole family is here waiting and she isn't waking up Jennifer suggested for us to all talk to each other and not be silent because she is used to alot of noise all the time so we did that and nothing she didn't wake up she's still sleeping then we each talked to her individually. She didn't wake up for most of the family members but when her older brother or whatever he is to her Bubba talked to her she woke up he turned and look around making sure he wasn't seeing things and everyone just smiled and then she said "where are we" and Koda was the one to answer her "we are in a hospital" "why" she said and Delaney said "cause some bitch took you out during our sectional game" "are you serious" Chelsea looked pissed "how did I end up in the hospital from that" and then Jennifer spoke up and said "you had a hole in your lung" "from what" "I don't know how it got there but it was there and it was pretty bad I operated on you" Chelsea put her hand on her chest and felt the stitches and she started to cry. Everyone in the family was crying. I was just so happy she was awake I can finally sleep and I don't have to worry if she will ever wake up again and I I'm just so happy. The next thing she did was loom at Koda he was crying really hard and she said "I told you I would never leave without saying goodbye" he cried harder and she reached for him and pulled him into her arms and then she said "I'm really hungry" and everyone laughed and Jennifer said "you should be hungry you've been asleep for three days" "I have" she asked Jen nodded I can't belive I slept for three days. It was quiet for awhile and then she said how long until I can leave. "You can leave whenever cause I'm at home to check on you so we can leave whenever I just have to sign you out. So we packed up our thing then we went home and the whole family helped Chelsea back to her room and in bed and then Chelsea asked go speak to Delaney alone after the rest of the family left I went to Kodas apartment with him and Delaney came out of Chelsea's apartment she came into Koda's and asked to talk to him and told me that Chelsea wanted me. So I headed back to my apartment basically now and she was waiting there for me and she was in bed basically asleep watching tv and so I took off my shoes and climbed in bed next to her and she snuggled right up to me and said "babe" and I said "yes" "why do you look like you haven't slept in a week" and I said "because I can't sleep when you are in the hospital so I haven't slept since the night of the sectional game" she frowned and then she said "well Koda isn't allowed to come stay in here until two days from now because Delaney and Connor are taking him and Kendall to a water park for the next two days" I smiled and she said "which means we can actually get some sleep and be alone" then we kissed for about an hour and then we both fell asleep.
