(Y/n) flinched as she watched a boy around her age walk into the room. He grinned as he pulled out a pocket knife and walked towards her. He side stepped and untied her from the chair. Her feet dug into the concrete floor as she tried to bolt, but he grabbed her shoulder and slammed her onto the floor. His grinned turned into an animalistic sear as he squatted and pulled her towards his face by her collar.
"Remember, You. Are. Expendable." He spat at her and slammed her back to the ground, "now get up, Zarkon wants you."
Five cars sped through the thick fog in the streets of their dear city. It masked their appearance and left only whispers of their pasts behind them. As the group of vigilantes neared a faint shadow moved in the darkness of the morning. A scout. Before they could react an alarm blared through the streets and bright lights pierced the fog that had protected them moments ago.
"Turn around we'll find another way in, there are too many!" Shiro shouted through the cars radio's, but Keith raced forward.
"Keith, turn around-" his voice stopped abruptly as Keith turned the volume to zero. The gated ahead of him began to close but he only pressed harder on the accelerate. Somewhere behind him there was gunfire and a honking horn but he didn't hear it, not really. He winced as the gate scrapped the sides of his car and pulled all of the paint off his doors. He was inside...now what. He didn't have time to think as soldiers surrounded him. He found his foot pressing the accelerate once again. Everything turned into a blur as he sped along side of the gate and tied to escape the cars tailing him. His eyes watched them in his rear view mirror he looked back through his windshield and slammed onto the breaks as he flew towards a brick wall. The car stopped only centimeters away only for the Galra men to stop their cars on the other side he was trapped. His hands flew to the backseat as he watched the teens adorn in purple hooded and bananas approach, guns and all. One laughed as he knocked on the window only for Keith to oped the door and bash it against the boys face. His friends immediately reached for him, unaware of the two smoke grenades Keith dropped when he opeded the door. A silent countdown started in his head as he reached for the sun roof and waited.
3...2...1
Smoke quickly filled the area as Keith leaped from the roof with one hand over his mouth and scaled the wall before him. He quickly snuck into the building and watched the boys fire aimlessly at his car. So much for driving off into the sunset after saving the day. He quickly hid in a small alcove and waited as a silent plan formed in his head.----
(Y/n) was almost trembling as she was pushed into a warehouse with high ceilings and crates filled to the brim with weapons and car parts. The man that had pushed her down several hallways and corridors continued to hold a rusty switchblade to her right side and keep one hand on the side of her thigh. Every time he moved his fingers closer she almost gagged and held in silent tears. Zarkon stepped out from behind several crated before her and smiled in the dim and musty light. The sound of rain hitting the tin roof of the warehouse clogged her senses and his as they made silent eye contact.
"One of your friends made it inside," he grinned as his eyes pierced through her. She mustered up her courage and grinned back, showing her teeth as she responded.
"He'll come for you."
Her voice was gravely and rough but strong and undeterred. There was no doubt in her eyes as she pictured him, Keith. Zarkon frowned and glared back at her.
"And he will die."
----
Keith, smirked as he stepped out of the closet, ignoring the muffled yells of the galra locked inside. He pulled the top of his new purple hood over his face and began walking towards an unfamiliar warehouse. His feet splashed in the puddles on the muddy street as he snuck to the door. He didn't need to press his ear against the door to know who was inside. Zarkon's voice echoed off the tin walls and fury seemed to leak through the cracks of the building. But fear pages through his body and rattled through his bones as he heard the response to Zarkon's rage. It was her. She yelled fearlessly back at him, oblivious to what this man would do to her, and what that would do to him. Then he heard them. Those two, horrid, words.
