Chapter 4: New Member

~Phil's P.O.V.~

"I wonder what happened to Carlisle?" I suddenly asked Dan while both of us are in the kitchen, preparing a food for Carlisle
"I don't know but she looks traumatised" Dan replied, worried.
"I think we should call for help"
"No don't!" I protests
Dan's eyes narrowed at me "why?"
I turned to Dan and said "we could keep her"
"what? Phil are you insane?" Dan said and I knew this would come
"why not? Well Carlisle seems to be nice" I said
"Phil, is not that I don't trust her but we barely know that girl! What if she's an escaped convict or she's a murderer or something? Or what if her parents are looking for her? We can't just adopt her like a cat!" Dan replied
"but I think she needs us Dan and this is our chance to help her! I don't think Carlisle is a bad person" I convinced Dan.
"Phil, I didn't allow you to have a hamster or a dog. And look at your houseplants! And now you want to keep Carlisle? This is a big responsibility here Phil." Dan rolled his eyes on me
"I promise to water Carlisle!" I pout
"Phil, Carlisle is not a houseplant!" Dan said
"Please?"

~Dan's P.O.V.~
Carlisle seems a kind girl but I don't want to trust too much because what if she is just pretending? But my conscience kills me and Phil is convincing me
"I'll just go and check her if she's doing fine" I said to Phil and I went back to Phil's room to check if she's okay.

"Carlisle?" I slowly opened the door and I took a peek
I saw her opening Phil's window and getting on the window
"Carlisle! What are you doing?!" I shouted and I dragged her away from the window "What the hell are you doing?!"
"Let go of me!" Carlisle shouted at me, trying to escape on my arms
"Why the hell do want to jump off the window?! Are you trying to kill yourself?!" I said while holding both of her arms
"You don't understand!" She said and tears are running down again from her cheeks and I heard footsteps probably it's Phil
"what's happening here? Why is she crying?" Phil asked and he stroke Carlisle's hair and looking at me sharply.
"Phil, that's not what you think, I pulled Carlisle away from your window. She wants to jump!" I explained to Phil
"Carlisle why did you do that?" Phil looked at Carlisle.
"Y- you don't understand...." Carlisle looked down.
"What we don't understand?" Phil asked but Carlisle shakes her head.
"Look girl, if you don't tell us how will we understand?" I asked and Carlisle flinched.
"Dan..." Phil hugged Carlisle but Carlisle pushed Phil away and she cried. Phil sighed and pat Carlisle's head
"How about let's eat waffles for today?" Phil cheered her up and she slowly nodded in response and they both went downstairs
