Lexi's POV

We headed off to the dance floor and all eyes were on us. I wonder what people are thinking of us being together but one eye caught me it was cold, hard and icy reminds me of the eyes my stepmother gave me when she first met me. I really hated her and she didn't let me see my father for more than 2 years and it all began when...

'Wake up Allie'

I Just rolled over and buried my face into the pillow and moaned 'go away'.

'Come on' dragging my legs. So I decided to kick them and I could hear them say 'ow' so I satisfied and tried to get back to my dream. As I was drifting off some sort of liquid was poured onto me and I was awake in an instant. My face was steaming as I looked at Adam and he was laughing at me. That's it I am so getting him back now, so I grabbed my pillow which was wet and slammed it into him and he fell to the ground. I smirked at him and as he got up he took another one of my pillows hitting me with it and we had a major pillow fight. The entire room was covered in feathers but at that point we didn't care.

As I was about to hit Adam again someone opened the room it was Briana and Christian, me and Adam looked at each other knowing the other's thoughts attached them both with pillows . Our governors are going to be furious but we didn't care all we wanted was to enjoy our childhood as much as we could. We laughed so hard it was one the best days we had in a long while. Briana grabbed the water beside my drawer and splashed it on Adam and that's when a water fight broke out . I looked at my side and saw Christian had a smirk on his face and he lifted his had and my face came into contact with someone sticky. I wiped it off my face and looked at my hands it was dirt from my plant.

Christian and Adam high fived . Me and Briana grabbed the flower pot and pour it on them laughing at their state. We ran outside of the room and we could see them on our case. We headed to the throne room which nobody uses except if my father comes to visit but that's unlikely right? Anyways me and Briana ran as fast we could on the way we saw a servant carrying a bowl of soup so I swiped it and we continued the journey.

As we reached the throne room the doors opened and I tripped and the bowl flew in the air and I screamed

'NOOOOOO!'

Guess where it landed on the head of the devil spawn my stepmother. That's when Adam and Christian entered the room as we all stood there. The witch screeched and my father was to her side immediately . In the room was my 2 half-sister, my father and his concubine.

We all looked at each other but the look we gave each other wasn't one of feeling guilty, then we all collapsed into laughter and we couldn't stop us. We got some type of revenge on her and we were satisfied. My father then told us 'Apologise to your mother this instant.'

'No.' we all said in unison

'She not our mother.' Briana said.

'She is horrible and we don't like her' This time it was Adam.

'She took you away from us and we prefer not seeing her face.' Christian replied

Then I said 'When you married her you barely saw us I don't even want to be related to that concubine, she made you forget us and you only care about her and you don't come visit us and the fact that you have her children stay with you is ridiculous. Your the worst father ever I wish I wasn't your child.' That have been too harsh but it was going through my head at that point .

Christian walked out following behind were Briana then me and finally Adam. It was the last time we would see him till I turned 12 years old but we gave them what they need to hear...

I ignored the eyes that burned holes into the back of my head and began the dance with Charles.

'I am finally glad to see you again Lexi. I hope you are well.'

'I am fine. Lady Francesca offered me a place as a lady-in-waiting. Can you believe that me a lady in waiting it's amazing.' I said.

'I am sorry for getting you fired and I pleased that you have a place to say instead of being kicked out of the castle.' He twirled. What I said next would be the death of me.

'All is well and I forgive you. It's what friends do right? Besides I want to leave it in the past and continue with my life.'

'Alright. To others things I saw you leave my brother shocked and speechless. What you do him?'

'Nothing I am just going to prove him wrong and make sure that his hypothesis doesn't come true at all. It won't I know that for a certain.'

'How are you going to that my brother doesn't like being wrong and is a very sore loser been like that since we were children.' he laughed at his statement and I giggled at bit.

'Well first I'm to beat his ass at a sword fighting competition that he doesn't know that I'm planning. After I am going to dance in victory and make him do a dare follow with a walk of shame which the entire of court will watching.'

We both laughed at my plan, apparently Charles thinks it's too devious but I guess that's who I am. The song came to an end both bowing to one another and we departed from each other as I headed to a vacant seat and he to greet other lords.

When I sat I was interrupted by a young lady 'excuse me ma'am but I don't know what you are doing but that is my mistress' fiancee and I don't think someone like you should be anywhere near him.'

'Oh. Sorry it was just a dance I didn't think it would do any harm to anyone really.'

'Just a dance. Anyone could tell that was a dance of lovers. I ain't going to tell her highness since I despise her but I am warning you that if she was ever to find out you could pay seriously, she had a horrible temper.'

'You hate her highness, Princess Valarie. Why? And I beg your pardon that me and Charles are just friends nothing more than that.'

'I am not an idiot I know there is something going on between you too and maybe in the near future it will reveal but let's forget this conversation and move away from this. Alright.'

'Yes please do.' I said with relief as I didn't want anyone talking about Charles and our relationship that is nothing more than friends and that is all it will be.

But you want to be something more than that...

I ignored the voice and asked 'Now can you tell me about you and the Princess Valarie.'

'Oh yes. I have been in her services for almost a year and I can tell you that she nothing but a spoiled, greedy, pampered princess that abuses her power and tries to control everyone for her own selfish needs. She told me to stay behind and make sure to report to her everything that her fiancee does. It isn't the first time and it won't be the last.'

'Then why don't you quit.'

'It's not that simply. She made me go to her half-sister, Alexandra old room and steal some of her jewels that belong to her mother and give them to her. I refused they weren't for her and she doesn't have the right to take them. So she decided to take them and implant them on me and she told me she wouldn't tell anyone of my crime if I served her as her spy and that's why I am here.'

'You poor thing. I can't believe she could do that to you.'

'I wasn't always in her services I use to be a maid to you.'
