Briar's POV
24 hours, that's how long it is until Myles leaves, until he goes to Vancouver and I'm not going to see him for months. I have 24 hours left with the man I love, I want to remember every second of this day and I don't want to waste a single moment of it.
"Mylesssssss" I scream when he opens the door, he smiles and pulls me into a hug. I feel safe in his arms like nothing can harm me but I know this is the last morning hug for months. He pulls me inside and we go up to his room, the whole house has boxes strewn everywhere and his room is bare of everything besides a camp bed. We sit on the bed and I curl up into his chest, he scatters kisses on the top of my head, as much as I'm enjoying this I know we should be doing something slightly more memorable
"Myles, I've booked us an hour at a trampoline park then I've planned a leaving party at CDC for you and then we're going out for a meal and then you choose what we do." I say to him, he giggles and then stands up, he pulls me up
"trust you to have the full day worked out." he says before we start walking downstairs. He tells is Mom where he's going and then we leave to the trampoline park
23 hours and 15 minutes
We arrive at the trampoline park, once I've paid for both of us, much to Myles' annoyance, we go into the main trampoline space.
"competition time!" Myles says, I giggle and walk over to the tumble track
"Whoever can do the most front aerials wins." I giggle knowing I'll win, he looks at me just before I start flipping
"1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15...." Myles shouts whilst I flip, I finally stop after doing 18, a new record. Now it's Myles' turn, this'll be funny. He lands one and then falls over
"I win." I shout at him, he laughs
"Alright, person who can do the most back flips wins." Myles shouted, knowing he's win. The next hour continued like this, it was pretty amazing.
22 hours
Now we were in the car on the way to a CDC leaving party, I'd organised most of it with a bit of help from Devon and Isaac, I just hoped Myles would like it.
We got out of the car and I lead him into the building, even though he's been here a million times. We arrived in the studio that the party was being held in and everybody was there, I let go of Myles' hand and he left to go and talk to some of his bros for the last time so I hung back not really wanting to loose sight of him in the last 22 hours we have together. I tried to just watch him form the side lines but before long Jessy and Skylar had dragged me out of his eye line
"sooo, what are you two lovebirds doing together?" Jessy asked, I giggled
"Well we've just been at a trampoline park for an hour, now we're here, then we're going for a meal and then Myles gets to choose what we do." I say
"Awww, Bryles is so cute." Skylar says, it makes me laugh when they use our ship name.
20 hours
I had finally dragged Myles away form his mates and we were out in the corridor, just chatting, we were both craving some quite
"Myles, please don't find somebody better than me." I blurt out, he cups my face and looks me in the eyes
"There's no one better that you" he whispers before crashing his lips into mine, I melt into the kiss, this is what true love feels like, I feel happy and safe and like I can do anything when I'm with Myles, I know that Myles would never leave me yet it scares me because we're not going to see each other much. "you really thought I'd cheat on you?" he asks me after breaking the kiss, I look down slightly embarrassed
"I just thought that girls will be throwing themselves at you and if you don't see me much you might just go off with them instead." I whisper, he shakes his head
"I promise, I won't" he says, I nod my head and let him lead me back into the party.
16 hours
We've been at the party for 6 hours now and it's drawing to a close. We say goodbye to everybody left and then go outside and get into Myles' car. I grab his hand, savouring his touch, knowing that it's limited. We drive to a restraint, only exchanging the odd word, just enjoying each others company. Once we arrive Myles takes my hand in his and we walk into the restaurant, we're seated next to the window
"I love you Myles." I say quietly
"I love you more Briar." he says, I shake my head
"that's impossible,"
"I'm doing pretty good at it,"
"You've got no idea how much I love you."
"You have no idea how much I love you."
"Let's just agree that we both love each other, a lot." I suggest, he nods his head.
10 hours
We spent six hours eating, talking and enjoying each others company, now it's 9 and dark outside
"did you say that I get to choose what we do now?" Myles whispers in my ear, I nod "are you still home alone?" he asks, I nod again "movie night?" he asks, I nod my head and get in the car
9 hours 30 minutes
We've just got back to mine, and we're trying to decide what movie to watch
"How about a horror film?" I say, he looks at me like I'm an alien
"you hate horror films, not if it means getting to cuddle." I say whilst giggling, he laughs
"you're too irresistible Briar, but I guess a horror movie it is."
"But you wouldn't have it another way would you?" I giggle, he shakes his head and pulls me onto his lap and I burry my head in his shirt, trying to remember exactly what he smells like.
1 hour
We spent all night watching horror films, talking, cuddling and kissing. It was perfect but now we only had 1 hour left together and then that was it, I had to say goodbye. We were both getting dressed, this was the last time in months I'd see him, I'll miss him, a lot.
5 minutes
He was in the packed car now, they were going on a long road trip to get there, we were exchanging final words and kisses, much to Tyson's disliking.
"I love you." I said for what felt like the final time
"I love you too."
"Goodbye."
"Goodbye."
