Annie's P.O.V.
It's now been 2 months since Katie's family has moved next door and it has been so fun. Katie and I hang out almost everyday. Brennan and Caleb hang out a few times a week and Ryan and Hayley keep hanging out. It's been nice to see Brennan a lot more. He still seems nervous around me but seeing him like that makes me like him even more.

Today is Saturday so both families are free. We are going over Katie's house for dinner tonight. Since today is a nice day, we decided to swim. It was so fun. All the kids even got together and made a plan to push dad in the river! It was hilarious.

It has been an hour and a half since we started swimming. Everyone has mostly left now it's just Katie, Brennan and I sitting on the dock. Katie is in the middle of us. We start to talk about the winter and our favorite parts about it, when Katie gets up and goes to the bathroom leaving Brennan and I alone.

As soon as Katie leaves, it gets all quiet. Brennan slides closer to me. I don't know how to react so I just look at him and smile.

"Um Annie...." Brennan asks, shaking.

"Yeah Brennan?" I ask confused.

"I like you, like really like you. You are so beautiful and sweet and funny and I can't describe to you how much you mean to me. So I was wondering if you would want to go on a date with me?"
Brennan spills out. At this point my jaw is hanging so low that it could touch the floor.

"Brennan, I would love to." I say with a huge smile on my face. This gets him to smile to his ears also.

"I'm so glad you said yes!" Brennan says pulling me into a hug. We finally pull away after what feels like forever.

I look at him for a second then look away. I can still feel him staring at me.

"So wha-" I start to say turning his way, but I get cut off by his lips embracing mine. It's like sparks are flying all around us. I feel so comfortable with him. After what feels like eternity, we hear a door open. We pull away so quick, still smiling, staring at each other.

"So what did I miss?" Katie asks us.

"Oh nothing just carrying on the conversation" I respond quickly. That gets Brennan to giggle, which makes me giggle, which makes Katie even more confused.

"Should we tell her?" I ask Brennan. I'm so excited I need to tell someone.

"If that's what you want" Brennan responds so nicely.

"Tell me what? What's happening? I'm so confused" Katie asks us.

"Well, I asked Annie if she would want to go on a date with me" Brennan says smiling at me. It's makes me blush.

"Yay! I'm so happy for you guys!" Katie says. I can tell she is a little shocked.

"Is..is that okay with you?" I ask a little worried.

"Of course! I'm so excited my best friend and my brother! Eee!!" Katie squeals. "When are you going to tell the rest of the families?"

"Um..probably tonight at dinner" Brennan says looking at me to see if that was okay. I agreed.

"Great! Now Annie let's go get you ready for dinner!" Katie stands up, taking my hand and pulling me towards the house.

I can't believe that all just happened. It's crazy. I'm so excited for our date! But first let's get ready to tell the parents.
