Ella's POV
Well I guess Parker being mean to me is out. He's actually such a sweet guy. We've been driving around town for almost three hours now and I don't feel bored or tired at all. We're singing along to the radio and just talking to each other as if we've known each other for years rather than days.
It's hard to believe that the bad boy has a nice side. And I'm the one that gets to see it. Maybe he's the one I've been waiting for. The bad boy and the autistic girl. Seems like a cute couple to me. Well of course it does since involves me.
"Hey Ella?" Parker asks while turning down the radio. We've been quiet for the last ten minutes. Not really knowing what to say to each other.
"Yeah?"
"We're lost." Of freaking course we are. "Yeah, I actually have no idea how to get back home. I don't even think we're in New Hampshire any more. And we're going to run out of gas. Oh and its getting dark. But don't freak out."
"Oh cause the don't freak out at the end really makes it better. You're a really shitty driver. Just thought I'd let you know."
"Like you can drive any better."
"Well I would if I had my license." I look over and he shuts his mouth and concentrates on the road. He turns the radio back up and doesn't say anything else.
Well this will be fun. I look out the window and watch the unfamiliar landscape pass by. I let out a long sigh and run my fingers through my hair.
"Keep your bitching to yourself," Parker says rolling his eyes.
"I'm not the one who got us lost." I really don't want to fight, but he's asking for it.
"You can get out and walk home." Excuse me?
"I never agreed to go with you. You can't just show up at someone house and make them hang out with you. Just because you don't have friends and a family who cares about you mean you need to take your anger out on me."
He stops the car and pulls over into a parking lot. "What the fuck did you just say?! Just because you're autistic doesn't mean you can just insult whoever you want! God, I'm dropping you off at your house cause honestly you're nothing but a bitch."
I turn towards the window and wait for him to start driving. He sighs and runs his hand though his hair. The car starts moving and we're back on the highway.
As if things couldn't get any worse, it starts raining. I don't mean a little sprinkle, I mean a full on pour. The road is barely visible and the windshield wipers we're on the highest level.
"Parker pull over. You can't see the road. We're going to get in an accident." He completely ignores me. "Parker!" I yell as the car beside us swerves closer to our car nearly hitting it. Parker turns the car into the median and stops.
"Are you okay?" I nod and run my hand through my hair for what seems like the hundredth time today. "Maybe we should pull over and wait it out."
"Go to the other side of the road," I say pointing towards the window. Without a word, he carefully drives across the highway and pulls over and puts the car in park.
"Let me see your phone." I hand it over and he texts someone and immediately gets a reply. "Looks like we're here until the storm blows over."
Well isn't this just great.
