Ella's POV
"Sorry babe, but I am, and you're going to help me."
...
"Don't you think this is a little mean?" Joey asks concerened. We are currently sitting on the hood of Joey's care outside of the school. His arm is around my shoulders and my head is leaning on him. "Are you sure that you're going to be alright with this?"
"Babe, I'm fine." I kiss his cheek and move the hair away from his face. Joey already knew that I was autistic. We've been going to the same school since second grade. We've never really been friends but that kind of changed when he calmed me down a few days ago.
"Alright, alright. I just wanted to make sure. You guys really need to talk though. And if I get killed by him because of this, my ghost is coming after you." I laugh and push his chest.
"So what exactly do I have to do?" I explain the plan to him. When Parker walks out of the school and sees us, Joey's going to have his hands all over me and kissing me and stuff. I really hope Parker doesn't punch the crap out of him though. "How do you come up with these things?"
"I really don't know. I'm kind of surprised myself. I'm never this mean." I laugh and wrap my arms around his waist. "Thanks for everything," I say out of nowhere.
"Don't worry about it. I just want you to be happy," he says kisisng the top of my head. "You ready for this?" I look up to see Parker walking down the steps and looks at us. I nod and Joey immediately puts one hand on my cheek and the other on my waist and kisses me.
I can't even explain the kiss. It's amazing. Our lips move in sync and I put my hands in his hair. His hands move up and down my sides and pull me closer to him. He moves down my jaw and kisses my neck. He kisses by my ear and whispers, "please talk to him." I nod and he pulls away pecking my lips one last time.
I look back to see Parker and some girl making out by a tree. I turn back to Joey an his eyes widen. "You're a really good kisser," he says smiling. I laugh and wrap my arms around him. "But you need to talk to him. It's not going to be easy but you have to. For me?"
I sigh and run my hands through my hair. "I can't right now," I say motioning towards the two making out by the tree. "Come on, let's go to my house." I say sliding off the hood and getting in the car.
The car ride home is silent. As Joey and I walk inside, Will is running around with his friend Cody and my mom is in the kitchen cooking.
"Hi Ella. Who's this?" My mom asks when we walk in the room. She dries her hands on a towel and comes around the counter.
"This is Joey," I say motioning towards him.
"What happened to Parker?"
"Nothing mom. We're going to study." I lead Joey to my room and close the door. "Sorry," I apologize.
He kisses my forehead and takes my hands in his, "don't worry about it, babe."
