I watched as normal teens walked their way to school, laughing and smiling. How I envy them sometimes. My parents aren't like most parents. Whereas your parents probably do taxes or work at a shop, or something. Mine are superheroes, sure you see them as people who just sell houses but really, they are heroes in disguise. They say one day me and my older twin brother will save the day, but two problems. My brother doesn't have powers yet. And my powers are more of a curse than a blessing.

The wailing of Death, isn't that just exciting and cheerful to tell others. My friends don't mind and by friends, I mean my brother, Zach and Leila. My screams, my sonic screams, and wails aren't worth it, my powers aren't a gift. I swear sometimes I'm not a born hero, but a spawn of Death, itself.

"Lydia, sweetheart. Are you ready?" Knocks dad at my door.
"Yeah," I call back to him. "Come on down, your mom wouldn't stop rambling about your and Will's first day," he says then walking downstairs. I sigh grabbing my bag, I walk downstairs. "There she is, my babygirl all grown and ready for high school," mom hugs me. " Jonesy don't her to death either," says dad. Will snorted in laughter at the death part. I roll my eyes. I sit next to Leila, who was here. I love her like a sister, people use to say we could pull as twins and we still could. Though she had snow white skin, bright ginger curls, and brown eyes. I had tan-ish skin from the sun, strawberry blonde hair, and green eyes. Mom says I look just like her sister, right down to the bone. I block everything, the only thing I hear is the voices. "Lydia, coming?" I look up and see my brother and Leila are waiting for me, like always....

"Yea," I say getting up. I grab my bag and we all walk. I put in my ear buds and listen to music, it helped with the voices. Drowned them out, we come to a stop as a bus pulls up. I stop my music, ale my favorite song cam on. "Angel with a Shotgun", a song that just connected with me. It just spoke me. We walk on. "Is this the bus to Sky High?" Asks Will, the bus driver closes the door faster than the Flash himself. "Do you want ever villain in the neighborhood to hear?" He snaps, I smirk liking him already.

"Whats your name freshmen?" He asks. "Will, Will Stronghold." Says Will slowly. "Stronghold, son of the Commander and Jetstream?" He asks awed. Will nods. "Where your sister?" He asks. I step besides Will. "Hi," I smile innocently as he makes a big fuss on us cause of our parents. Another thing that sucks about my parents being heros. Attention that I don't want. I walk to the back and stay there listening to music. Will and our friend Zach sit in front of me and Leila joins me. I stop listening to my music not wanting to be rude.

It's not until we go off road, do I hear them. "Leila, what's  happening?" I ask scared. "Lydia is them, do you ear them?" She asks, I nod. "I sense the fear of everyone," I groan holding my head. "Everyone hang on," says Ron. As seat belts around us. "Everyone cover your ears," shouts Leila. As we take off into the skies. I scream, the windows are fine. But so does everyone else, they're screaming. But they're normal. Everyone holds on to their ears. I stop as I hear Ron mumble. "Freshmen..." we fly over the school, for a school for heros. I'm surprised there no damage to it yet.

The teens and students spread across campus like a storm, a storm of Society that I will be outcasted from like everything else. High school, a time of glory for heros. A Time of judgement and loneliness for me....
