a zelink love story

chapter 6

Link picks up Zelda and the castle begins to shake. "Ugh not again!" Link mumbles. "What is happening link?"

"The castle is collapsing! Come lets get out of here quick!" Midna nods "it'd be faster if you changed to your wolf form." Link just looks down at zelda.

"Don't worry I will take good care of her. Plus you'll still be carrying her. If you don't switch forms we might not make it out in time!" Link sighs "your right as always."

He gently puts Zelda down and switches to his wolf form. Minda places zelda on links back with her. He makes sure midna is holding on. Once he sees she is he takes off running.

They run into some monsters along the way. Midna quickly takes care of them ,and they continue on there way.

They finally make it out side. Just as they get out the castle collapses behind them. "Phew that was to close" link nods in agreement. "Now then let's get you two back home before it is to late."

Midna gets off links back and changes back to her normal form. She gently picks up Zelda so link can change back to.

As soon as she does link switches back to hylian form ,and takes Zelda in his arms. Midna makes a portal in front of them.

"Well goodbye midna thanks for everything." link says with a smile. "Yeah yeah yeah you're welcome. You two keep in touch ok."

"We will ,goodbye midna" he goes through the portal. When they come out on the other side they are in hyrule castle.

Link takes Zelda to her room and gently lays her down on her bed. He's turns to walk out of the room. Before he walks out though, he hear's zelda.

"Link... please don't go... please..." Link turns back around. He walks over and sits down beside her. "I'm right here zel I'm not going anywhere I promise."

He wraps her in his arms. She smiles faintly before falling fast asleep in her hero's arms. When he holds her she feels safe. Like nothing could ever hurt her as long as she was in his arms.

"Good night my princess" he gently kisses the top of her head. He then hears a knock on the door. "Link are you in there?"

"Yes impa and I'm not alone." Hearing this impa quickly opened the door. She sighs in relief when she sees the princess sleeping peacefully.

"So you did it again. Thank you link for saving the princess Zelda." She says quietly so she does not wake Zelda. "Your welcome impa I am glad I could get her back."

"That makes two of us. Well I will go now and leave you be." Link smiles "thanks impa have a good night" impa smiles "I will now knowing that our princess is safe once again." With that she leaves the room.

A week has now passed since link and Zelda returned home. "Are you sure you should be up zel? After all you aren't completely better yet."

"I'm fine besides I can't handle being cooped up any longer" she smiles. "Ok I admit that being cooped up in a room isn't much fun. Let's just take things slow and not over due it."

"Thank you link I knew you'd understand." She kisses his cheek and he smiles. "So where exactly are we going?"

"Just to the garden right outside the castle." Link nods and they slowly walk to the garden. The guards open the doors for them.

Zelda's face immediately lights up when they step into the garden. "I have always loved this garden it's so beautiful."

"Not as beautiful as you my dear princess." She smiles and turns to face him. "Come on I wanna show you something" she holds out her hand for him. He takes it and she starts leading him somewhere.

When they stop Zelda goes over to a hedge. Turns out there was a door nob in it. She opens it and leads him inside.

"This has always been my favorite part of the garden. I used to come here all the time when I was younger. It was the one spot I could go to and leave the world behind."

She leads him to a stone pavilion. "I've never showed this place to anyone. Not even impa knows about it. Your the first person I've ever showed it to."

"Wow I'm honored zel. I'm glad you showed me" he says with a smile "as of today this spot is no longer mine but ours"

"Our place huh? That has a nice ring to it don't ya think?" She smiles "yes it does have a nice ring to it."

Zelda takes a seat at the table. Link sits beside her and wraps his arms around her. They just sit there and enjoy the silence.

Enjoying each other's company as they gaze up at the sky. It was truly a beautiful day not a single cloud was in the sky.

It was the perfect spot for the two of them to spend time together. "Thank you for saving me my hero" she wispers.

"Your welcome my princess. I'd do anything for you." She smiles "I love you link." He smiles "I love you too zel"

She leans up to look at him. They gaze into each other's eyes. Both getting lost in them. Then link slowly leans in for a kiss.

She meets him halfway. Its a slow deep passionate kiss. The kind of kiss that sends sparks flying. The kind of kiss every girl dreams of. It's just the perfect kiss.

Link slowly pulls away. "Zelda I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to always be here to protect you. I love you more than anything in this world.

He pauses a sec then gets down on one knee. He pulls a ring box out of his pocket. "Zelda will you do me the honors of making one of the happiest men in the world and marry me?"

Zelda gasps and covers her mouth. She begins to cry "yes link I would love to marry you!" He smiles and slips the ring on her hand.

He stands up and picks her up and spins her. He sets her back down gently and kisses her again. "I love you my princess" he wispers. "I love you too my hero"
