I must have dozed off because I felt somebody tapping my shoulder and sitting down beside me.
I opened my eyes to see James sitting there.
"James, I had an awful dream that my parents died"
"Katie, I'm sorry but that was real" he said pulling me into a hug.
I started to cry when I noticed nobody else was there.
"Where's Connor and everybody else."
"Connor is on the phone to his parents upstairs and the other three have gone to get dinner"
"James, I can't even organise a funeral"
I said crying into my hands.
He just hugged me and kept quiet.
"James, I'm sorry for everything." I said crying into his top.
"It's fine."
"Oh look, I'm staining your top with tears. Why couldn't it be me who died instead of them"
"Katie, honestly it's fine. Look, I'll take off my top so you can cry into that. Don't you EVER say that you should've died. We're your crazy adopted family and we love you." James said handing me his top.
He was sitting there topless. I started to laugh.
"Katie, look at me, we'll get through this together, all of us" He said as Connor came downstairs.
Connor walked in and sat down on the other side of me. I was now in a Jonner sandwich. Connor smiled
"We'll get through this, all of us." Connor said kissing my forehead.
"You're my best friend and I don't want our relationship stopping that. For
Now, we are best friends and nothing more" Connor said hugging me.
"Are you sure, we'll get through this" I asked
"Positive" they both replied
"Never let me go boys, I feel too safe" I said. They nodded and smiled
