I was expecting to go unconscious. I mean, I had just used all my strength fighting and finding out I had a hidden power to control the sun.
I was not, however, expecting a dream. I had just defeated the skeleton army and Ethan. For now, at least.
Everything was black like night (Maybe even like the goddess Night, Nyx). I wasn't really there, but I could feel the coolness of the black, like maybe it was some sort of mist. I was starting to get bored (Maybe this was how Chaos felt, just being in an empty void) when the mist started swirling, shifting. Color vapors started to appear. Splashes of green, blue, brown, and other colors joined the black like a light show. When it finally stopped swirling, the black void was not really there anymore. I sat there on a roof, kind of like a ghost I guess, or maybe invisible because I could sort of see myself, but I was a little transparent. I sat on a black roof. The stars faintly twinkled above in the faint black sky, and the grass below shined from early morning dew.
"What do you think?" a voice asked beside me. I would've jumped if I wasn't sitting down. I looked beside me. Thἀvma sat there on the roof, wearing her pajamas; a blue tye-dye shirt and pajama shorts, but she also wore her navy blue soccer sweater. Her golden lyre was beside her. She looked more alive, more clean and nice than when I had dream contacted her in her nightmare. Her golden highlight of hair shimmered in the darkness and her wavy brown hair looked smooth and it was braided.
For a second I thought she wanted me to answer. Could she see me? Did she know I was there?
I opened my mouth to say something, but someone else answered on the other side of me, and again I almost jumped. Sitting on the other side of me, on the roof with Thἀvma, was Fernando. His skin was pale like a vampire's and his black and turquoise shaggy hair was in his face a little. He looked a little troubled and tired, and one hand was on his chest, like making sure he didn't have any wounds there.
Just by looking at Fernando, I immediately felt bad. I had wrongly accused him, I should have gotten more information, should have let him talk. In the end he had just been a victim, he was used by Chaos. And he did it in hopes of rescuing my half-sister.
Fernando sighed. "I don't know, Thἀvma. He seems kind of...different so to say. Sure he can heal like Will Solace," He touched his chest again, "But he seems a lot more powerful. He could be in great danger."
"Faren's already in great danger!" Thἀvma's shout rang in my ears. I realized this was something that already happened, from when, I didn't know.
Fernando frowned. "You know what I mean! He has a stronger aura around him, almost like a son of the Big Three."
"Well, technically Zeus is his grandfather, since Zeus is Apollo's father...." she mumbled.
"Thἀvma, he hadn't been attacked by any monster or creature until Epiales. The punk should be dead."
I gulped. I didn't like that Fernando thought I should be dead. He actually knows when someone will die, being the child of the Lord of the Dead and all.
"Luck?" she suggested. "If he has a stronger aura than me and even you, why did I get attacked by monsters earlier than him? Why did he still get to live like a normal kid? Why does he get to have a normal life and family?!?!" she ended up shouting. She then was breathing heavily and angrily.
My eyes widened. All the time I had been jealous of Thἀvma for being a better fighter and warrior than me, and in the end she was jealous of me. She didn't care if she was the best fighter in the world, or at least in the camp. All she wanted was her family and a good normal life back. And before I had come to camp, that was basically exactly what I had. She was jealous of me.
