Mourning Lost Love

And I would not wake up,
If it was not for you,
Lie forever in dreamless sleep, thorns growing around the bed...

I would shift the cinders and the burning coal,
My naked feet clinging to the ash for warmth...

I would stay imprisoned atop the tower,
Letting my hair down everyday,
Not knowing what I miss,
If it was not for you...

And, so, my darling,
Thanks for everything.

But now, I must take leave.

For I am but foam on these dancing waves, and in the ocean lies my destiny.
