Chapter 1

Natalie's POV
I was walking into my room after once again screaming at my mother. I didn't have the best mother she didn't do anything and treated my dad like shit after he tried everything to make her happy but nothing was good enough. Moving to Seattle didn't make it any better. There was a little box sitting on my bed with a note.' Nat I just need you to hold on a little longer you're 17 you have one more year till you can leave please spend it being a good daughter to me -Dad' The small box held a amethyst ring. I had tears in my eyes. I heard a huge crash down stairs. I ran down stairs and saw my mother and father dead on the ground." Ahhhhh. Nonono please no." I screamed. I was crying over my father's dead body. Suddenly I was shoved against the wall. A pale man with blood around his lips." You bastard you killed my father!" I screamed at him with hatred in my eyes." Don't worry you will soon be with them my dear after I feed off you." He said with a harsh cold tone. His sunk his teeth in my neck but the pain stopped by a huge brown wolf bursting through my window and tackling the man and tearing him apart. A shooting, burning pain shot through my entire body causing me to scream. The wolf turned into a tan boy about my age and ran over to me." Oh god the venom... dammit." He said his voice trembling. He picked me up bridal style and took me to my bedroom and set me on my bed." I'm so sorry this happened to you." He said. He ran out and didn't come back. I continued to squirm and scream because of excruciating pain. A pale boy came to my room quick as lightning after the pain stopped." Please don't hurt me." I said wincing away from his cold grasp on my wrist. He looked at me with his beautiful golden eyes and smiled crookedly." Don't worry Natalie I'm here to retrieve you. You are no longer safe you need to come with me." He explained quickly." Wait tell me what the hell is going on please." I said l panicking." Well this my be a little hard to believe but the man that came into your house was a vampire and he intended to drain all the blood from your body but was stopped from a werewolf from Forks. It's kinda weird that he came all of the way to save you after Alice told all of us about you. Oh and I'm a vampire as well along with my family and my name is Edward." He said. I ran into my bathroom and saw that I had bright red eyes and a pale complexion." Ok I believe you. Help me pack some things and then we can get going." He nodded and I packed my book bag full of clothes and memories. I glanced over at my nightstand and grabbed the ring and put it in and shoved the note in my back pocket. Then me and Edward ran out to his car and started back to Forks." I'm really sorry about your dad." He said looking at me with golden eyes.* It's fine." I said shedding a single tear. He grabbed my hand and held it with a cold firm grip. It was comforting in a strange way.
