Chapter 4

I was making dinner with Emily in the kitchen and a lot of it." So you and Jacob." She said raising her eyebrows." I mean he is cute, but I'm not sure if he likes me back." I said with a small smile." Nat if you don't mind me asking what happened." I stood silent and still for a second." Well me and my mother had been arguing the night it happened. Me and her never got along and she treated my father like garbage so I just retreated to my room where my father had left me a note and this amethyst ring." I said showing the stone on my finger to her." I heard a crash down stairs and I saw my parents drained. The vampire shoved me against a wall and bit me. Jacob had saved me though. He tore the vampire to shreds and brought me to my room. He was distraught because of the venom said sorry and left. He knew he couldn't do anything and then Edward found me after hearing me scream over and over again. He took me to his house and I'm Cullen now. I tried to track Jake, but Edward said it wouldn't be a good idea. Then we met in the woods and now here I am." I said simply.

Jacob's POV
I had been helping to get wood for the bonfire tonight, but then I saw Edward at the border.
" What do you want leech." I said harshly. " I just came to see if Natalie made it there safe." He said looking at me. " She's fine...she's making food with Emily for the bonfire tonight." I said and turned to walk away with logs in my arms. " Jacob, I don't want Paul to lose his temper around her and hurt her." Edward said quickly before I ran off.

Natalie's POV
I was walking with Emily, Sam, and Jake down to where the fire was with food in hand. I saw Embry, Jared, and Seth. I had already met them while trying to keep them away from eating the food earlier. " Hey Embry, Jared, and Seth." They all waved and Seth ran up to me and hugged me. " Oof! It's good to see you too Seth." He was like a little brother to me. Jake laughed and I punched his arm. " Oww!" I started to laugh. Paul walked up to us. " Jake she's not that strong." He said smugly. I stared at him with a look on my face. " I bet I'm stronger than you." He looked at me and Jake and Seth backed away. " Is that a challenge?" He asked. I nodded and he fased into his grey wolf. I fased becoming much bigger than him. He whimpered and tried to attack me. I took a chunk out of his shoulder and he ran into the woods coming back in shorts. I fased back fully clothed. He started laughing and Jake went to my side. I got a first aid kit from my bag and wrapped Paul's shoulder until it healed. I sat next to Jake and Seth sat on my right.

*Time skip*
" Now let me tell you about our last topic...an imprint. It's more than love at first sight, it's more like gravity stops and she/he's the only thing holding you down. You would be anything for that person." Sam said. They all look towards Jacob and me. I soon felt light headed. " Hey I'm going to go take a walk. Jake can you come." I said sweetly. He nodded and got up and followed me. We walked away from the group for a little. " I just got a new power. I can read minds. I know you imprinted on me." He looked at me and smashed his lips  onto mine. I kissed back. " Why didn't you just tell me?" I asked parting the connection. " I was scared that you would reject me or get frightened and leave." He said looking down at the sand. I pulled his chin up to look at me and gave him a peck one the cheek. " I love you Jacob Black." I said smiling.
