So sorry it took me forever to give you guys an update.😞
Here you go.

Ezra's pov

I woke up and discovered myself in Kanan's lap in a tight embrace. I immediately got out of his hold causing him to wake up. He looked at me questioningly until I gave him a single word "Space..." He frowned but nodded yes. The truck had stopped and so we got out for another ride. That's when I saw it. Half of a house currently being transported. I bigger Kanan and pointed to it. "Nice eye kid." I grinned and has we ran towards it. Once we got inside I was delighted to find the place complete with furniture and more boxes. The vehicle soon started and off we went. The half-house had a living room, small kitchen, and a bedroom. "So this is what a home looks like huh." I stated while Kanan looked down at me with sorrow. I searched the place with Kanan in tow, it was amazing. I saw the couch and ran for it, I laid down on it and closed my eyes for a second. It felt so soft compared to the ground. I opened my eyes and saw Kanan looking out the window at the countryside. I grinned and walked over to him "You know there's a better way to do that." "And what is that?" I opened the window and stuck my head out, letting the wind flow through my hair. The view was even better. "Try it, the view's cooler out here!" Soon enough Kanan popped his head out behind me, he was a little scared at first but soon he loosened up and smiled. After about 1 full hour of looking outside and talking to each other we closed the window and went to the boxes. Kanan pulled out a deck of cards "Gin?" I was confused at what gin was. "What gin?" He smiled "It's a card game, wanna try? I can teach you." "Whatever, what do I have to lose.".

1 hour later

So far I was kicking Kanan's butt at this game, I think he's regretting teaching me it. "Okay you win." He stated in defeat. I laughed "Of course I win, after all I am unstoppable." Really now? Because if I remember correctly you lost the first 10 rounds." "Whatever." I reached into one of the boxes and pulled out somethings that looked edible. "What are these?" I asked Kanan "You don't know what cookies are?!?!?" I frowned "You don't get a wide variety of food much when you live on the streets. And if you do get them you don't really ask what they are, just eat." We ate them and played eye spy out the window. It lasted for about 30 minutes. I was starring out the window until I exploded with laughter from Kanan poking my side by accident. Once I was finished I looked at Kanan only to find him grinning evily and coming closer "nonononono!" I was about the get up and run but Kanan grabbed me around my torso with one hand and with the other tickled my sides. "Kanan please stop!" I said through shrieks of laughter. It was fun until I realized he was acting like how a parent would with their child... Their child... I wasn't Kanan's so why is he like this. I was angry but mainly confused at his actions. Soon anger took over and I got myself out of his hold. "Space Kanan Space." I said bitterly. Kanan just frowned and put away the cards. I'm not his kid and he doesn't even know me! So.......
Why does he care?

10 boring hours later

We sat around talking some more and setting up our sleeping places for the night. I had chosen the couch just because the bed might be too soft. Normally I sleep on the ground so...
"Alright I'm going to sleep." Kanan said with a yawn. "Yep me too." Kanan left the room and I made myself comfortable on the couch. I closed my eyes and soon was asleep.

Kanan's pov

I was awoken by cries for help and comfort and immediately shot up startled. The cries sounded familiar.
O no.... Ezra.
I ran into the living room to find the kid curdled up unconsciously crying. He whimpered a two words I could make out. Mommy and daddy. I was heartbroken that the boy had no one else besides me so I did what felt right. I picked him up bridal style and carried him over to my room. I laid him down on the bed and crawled in next to him, wrapping my arms around his fragile body and pulled him close to me. He buried his head into my chest and cried while I ran my fingers through his hair. He soon calmed down and I fell asleep with the child still in my grasp.
