Kanan's pov
The kid just stared at me awkwardly before I got up eventually. Everything hurts though, maybe this street rat can help me. "So how long have I been out for and where are my friends?" He just shrugged his shoulders. "Empire got them and left you for dead. You've only been out for like 15 minutes." "The empire took them?" He rolled his eyes and groan "Yes I told you." "Okay calm down... Do you know where they took them?" "Only one place they take prisoners on lothal and that's on the other side of the planet genius." This kid is really trying to get under my skin. I thought about how I could get there and save them but I found non of my ideas reasonable. The kid might have an idea, wait wait no way I'm going with this street rat all the way to the other side! I soon battled with myself rather or not to ask him but in the outcome decided to. "Could you take me?" He turned away from me and started to mumble, I could hear enough to know that he was talking to himself. He turned around and smiled "Okay we have a deal but... We do it my way, first off because I'm the leader in this situation and second off it's the only way." I nodded "Deal, can I have your name?" "Sure what's yours?" "Kanan Jarrus, yours is?" He laughed "Non of your business Kanan Jarrus." I was so angry, he tricked me! I let it go though and frowned. He then turned around and motioned for me to follow. "Come on then." We walked for hours in silence making this very awkward. He stopped stopped and pointed at a delivery hover truck. "That's our ride." "Wait we're sneaking on? Like a hitchhiker?!?" He chuckled "Yep." I didn't have time to argue so I just went with it praying we wouldn't be caught in the act. Inside the truck was a bunch of boxes and furniture. The kid closed the door behind us and started to go through the boxes. "Hey that's not our stuff ya know!" More laughter came from him "I know." He pulled out a pod racing magazine and sat down on a couch. I sighed in defeat and plopped down on the couch next to him, making myself comfy for the long ride ahead of us.
Ezra's pov
I was reading the magazine I picked out but paused when Kanans arm sneaked around my shoulder and pulled me closer. I looked over and saw him asleep. Annoyed by his unconscious action I got up and searched the boxes for blankets. When I found some I threw one on Kanan and used the others for myself since I had to make due with the hard metal floor. I eventually got comfortable with what I had and fell into a peaceful slumber.
