[Time Skip To An Hour Later]

[Shad's POV]

I walk into my apartment and don't see Heaven anywhere.

'I guess she's in my room or in the shower.' I thought.

"Heaven! I'm back!" I yelled.

I walk into my bedroom in search for Heaven but she's not in there.

'I guess she's in the shower.' I thought.

I walk up to the bathroom but don't hear the shower running.

'Where is she if she's not in my room or in the sh-.' I stop when I realize where she went.

"Damn it, Heaven. I told you to not leave my apartment." I said angrily.

I run out of my apartment and to the park.

I know Heaven will probably go to the park because she likes to look at the tree in the center. I know she can draw because she left her sketchbook at my house one day when we were in high school.

[Ryan's POV]

I get out of the cab and informed the driver I would only be a second. I walk into a small shop named 'Drink Up!'. I look around and spot a woman at the counter.

The woman has waist length white hair and red eyes with a scar on her cheek.

"Hello sir. How may I help you?" The woman asked.

"Hello. I'm looking for substitute blood for vampires." I replied.

"The sub. Blood is in the back corner." The woman said.

"Thank you." I said.

"You're welcome." The woman said with a bright smile.

I walk into the back of shop and spot a bunch of different types of substitute blood.

'Which one do I chose? I don't know which one Mason likes.' I thought with a sigh.

I read a few labels but only is A, B, AB & O.

'I guess AB will do.' I thought with a sigh.

I grab four packs of AB and take them to the counter.

"Is that all?" The woman asked.

"Yes." I replied.

"Ok." The woman said.

The woman begins ringing up the blood when I smell deer meat. I sniff the air a few times. I look in the direction of the smell and use my werewolf vision. I spot an injured deer in the forest about a mile away. I hear the woman giggle and look at her.

"What's so funny?" I asked.

"Your ears and tail are showing." The woman giggled.

I touch my head and feel my ears. I glance behind me and spot my tail, swing back and forth. Usual for a werewolf to have their ears and tail out in public is really embarrassing. I feel my face heat up and look down. I feel my ears go down and my tail stop swinging. I try hiding my ears and tail but I'm too embarrassed to do anything.

"You don't have to be embarrassed. I think you look adorable with ears and tails." The woman muttered with a light pink blush on her cheeks.

"R-Really?" I asked as I look up at the woman.

"Yeah." The woman replied.

"I-I'm Ryan Serra." I introduced myself.

"Destiny Newman." The woman introduced herself.

'Wait? That name. She must be related to David Newman.' I thought.

"You wouldn't happen to be related to David Newman, would you?" I asked.

"He's my father." Destiny replied.

"Seriously?" I asked shocked.

"Yeah, he has like 21 kids all from different woman." Destiny replied.

"Wow, he has a lot of kids. Which one are you?" I asked.

"I'm the 5th child." Destiny replied.

"Oh, so you are one of the oldest?" I asked.

"Yes but to my father he only thinks of the first two as the oldest." Destiny replied.

"Why?" I asked.

"Because the first two are most likely to get my father's welt." Destiny replied.

"Oh, your dad is like my dad." I said.

"Your father did the same thing to you?" Destiny asked.

"Kinda, he didn't like me because I was a rare type of werewolf." I replied.

"What type are you?" Destiny asked.

"The human type." I replied.

"Human type?" Destiny asked confused.

"Well, both my parents are werewolves but I was born in my human form unlike my siblings who were born in their wolf forms. It's unnatural for a werewolf to be born in their human form. Some werewolves say it's a curse. My dad hated the fact having a unnatural, weak son around so he left with the rest of my family in the middle of the night leaving me behind." I explained.

I realize that I went to deep into the question. I look at Destiny and realize she's crying.

"Y-You have had a tough life." Destiny said.

"Yeah but I could care less about my first family now." I said.

Destiny walks up to me and hugs me.

"I feel so bad for you." Destiny said.

"It's fine, I have gotten over the fact that my dad doesn't like me." I said.

Destiny pulls away from the hug and wipes her tears away.

"The blood is on the house. I like you and want to be your friend." Destiny said.

"Thank you and I would love to be your friend." I said.

"Here take this." Destiny said.

Destiny writes something down on a small piece of paper and hands it to me.

I look at it and notice it's a bunch of numbers. It's her phone number.

"Thanks." I said.

"You're welcome." Destiny said

Destiny puts the blood into a bag and hands it to me.

I leave the shop and get back into the cab.
