"w-we're gonna have to-" he chokes out, sobbing in a flood of tears.
"i kn-know, phil.. i-" he cuts me off, yet again, and rambles about how much he is going to miss me, like he has been doing for the last thirty minutes. i just sit here, and cry.
"i love you so much- i don't th-think i can ever m-move on from you."
"me either, philly." i continue to hold on to him, as if i would never let go. but that was a fantasy.
"do-don't forget me, please."
"i w-won't."
"wh-who knows? maybe you'll find a husband, or a wife, or a.." he says softly.
"haha, y-yeah."
"i-i love you so much, just.."
i kiss him softly on the lips.
"i love y-you too."
"i guess- i guess this is goodbye?"
"g-goodbye dan."
"i'll miss you, p-phil."
