After a while of the boys talking and trying to get back to a somewhat normal state, the doctor finally came in.
"So we cannot get in touch with any of his family at the moment so would any of you be willing to be is "guardian" for the time being?" The doctor asked.
"I will. I'm the second oldest." Leo spoke up. N just let him, he wanted Leo to be the guardian anyway.
"Okay, well then can the others step out of the room for a moment while I talk to you two alone, please?" The doctor looked at the other boys who were about to protest, but N gave them all a reassuring nod.
"We will go get something to eat, I don't think any of us have eaten today. Do you two want anything?" Ken asked.
Both Leo and N shook their heads, and Ken walked out of the room following the others.
"So doctor, can I leave now?" N asked. He hated the place. The smell, the bright lights, the sad atmosphere, everything. He just wanted to go home.
"Well, physically you are completely stable now. We can have that IV take out and you can be discharged. However, considering the amount of scars on your body and the reason you were brought in the first place I would hope you could stay a while longer."
N was about to speak up about how it was impossible, find some kind of excuse not to stay, but the doctor spoke first. "I know that with your schedule and public image this is not really a practical request, so instead, I will have you see a psychologist three times a week. Also, I want Leo here to keep an eye on you, and make sure nothing else happens." Both N and Leo nodded at the doctor's request.
The doctor continued. "Alright, I will have a nurse come in to remove your IV and get you checked out. I will also need you to set up an appointment for a few weeks from today to get those stitches out."
"Yes, doctor." Both boys said in unison and the doctor walked out of the room, closing the door behind him.
"Well, at least, we can go home right?" N said, but Leo didn't respond. "Leo?" N asked looking up at the taller man's face.
"What other scars?" Leo asked almost inaudibly.
"Can we talk about this later? I just want to get this stupid needle out and go home."
Leo nodded. He didn't want to push N right now. He seemed so fragile. To Leo he looked like the slightest touch, the wrong word, could shatter him at any moment.
The nurse came in with a smile on her face. "Alright, let's get you all set to leave." And took out the IV in N's arm and put a small band-aid on it. The band-aid had cute little puppies all over it. "Sorry, we were out of the plain one." She bowed apologetically and left the room.
N swung his legs over the side of the bed and stood up. "Okay!" He said clapping his hands and plastering one of his signature smiles on his face. "Let's go!"
"Um... in that?" Leo asked looking N up and down in his hospital clothes.
"Oh yeah," N said, looking down at himself and blushing, "I forgot." He sat back down on the bed a little deject.
Leo thought about getting N's clothes back from the doctors but then decided against it. They would be covered in blood and, not only would it just bring back the bad memories for N and the others, the fans could see it. Leo decided, in the end, to call their manager to bring a new change of clothes from the dorm.
In the time they waited for their manager to come, the other four members came back and shortly after the manager came. When N was dressed and ready to go, they headed down to discharge N from the hospital.
