Chapter 2: Stuck

I looked around my hood seeing my crew apart from the girls posted up ready to go to war.
"Yo where did that come from?" Kid asked mugging looking around. If we knew the answer none of us would be standing here. They shot at me-at Kali. Nah it don't work like that. Say if I wasn't with her little tail, I couldn't take her being killed. Who ever done that better hope I don't catch them, but I will. It don't matter.
"Yo I'm bout to go check on Kali and sky" I dapped them
"Ard, me and kid bout to see who shot at us" Nipsey said
"Hit me up when you done" I said
"Ard" he said walking across the street
"A lock my crib if y'all leave" he cupped his hands around his mouth so I could hear him. I chuckled shaking my head "Ard bye bro" I said opening the door to his crib. As soon as I opened the door Kaliah jumped into my arms wrapping her legs around my waist and arms around my neck making me chuckle. "Someone missed me" I kicked the door closed
"Yes I was worried Kendrick" she said softly
"No need to worry babygirl, I'm always gonna be here." I assured her
"Promise?" she removed her face from my neck to look at me
"Yea I promise" I smiled at her She kissed near my mouth jumping down. "Where Sky?" I asked
"She knocked out, all that crying made her sleepy" she chucked cutely.
"Oh, how about you? Are you okay?" I crashed on the sofa
"I'm fine" she said softly sitting next to me
"You sure? You wouldn't go in the house when I told you to" I Stretched my arm on the back of the sofa chair.
"I wasn't trying to leave you" she said. A ride or die, I see.
"Well next time when I say go in the house, then go in the house" I said
"Yes sir" she mugged me That's just Kali, she doesn't take too nicely to people tell her what to do, but if it's regarding her safety and I have something to do with it, then she gonna listen.
"If something happened to you, I would go to jail for killing someone" I told her bluntly. It was true I've known Kali for a little over 3 years, she's portray her feelings to me plenty of times, and I care for her...more than a friend.
"Calm down" she put her tiny hand on my chest, and instantly I calmed down.
"I'm kinda hungry" She said
"Raid Nipsey's fridge, cause I don't wanna leave until he and Kid get back" I told her kicking my feet up grabbing the remote.
"Kay" she said getting up I focused my eyes on the episode of the fair odd parents a head of me.

Great now we're stuck in this house until these two dummies come back. I pulled down a big bowl filling it with fruity pebbles being that, that's the only thing Nip has. I snatched the milk out the cold fridge pouring some into my bowl. I put everything up getting a spoon going back into the living room.
"What you get?" Kendrick asked
"Cereal" I mumbled sitting down in my previous spot I ate and watched the cartoon that played on the T.v screen. Every once in a while Kendrick would laugh making me laugh. He's such a big kid.
"Let me get some" he took the bowl and spoon form me eating the rest. I curled up into a ball next to him drifting off myself.

I woke up to the sound of loud talking. When I opened my eyes everyone one was in the living room.
"Yo I'm telling you he don't wanna go to war with me!" Kendrick yelled. I blinked a few times sitting up.
"I'm saying, but what you wanna do about it Kendrick?" Kid asked
"There ain't nothing else to do , but one thing" Kendrick said clenching his jaw "When, and where" Nipsey said He's probably the one who's the most reckless, he don't care what he do. "Tomorrow night in Crenshaw, we coming to them" he said
"Ard you know I'm down" Nip said as Kid shook his head
"I'ma hit Game up about it too" Ken said. I made my presences apparent and all eyes were on me.
"Sorry to wake you babygirl" he patted my thigh
"You're fine" I mumbled standing up
"You okay?" he asked raising an eyebrow Heck no, I'm not okay! You're planing blasting at some thug in Compton.
What does that prove? It proves that you're just like them, when you're not. "Nothing" I rolled my eyes at my own thoughts
"okay" he didn't press it I went upstairs to Nipsey's bedroom to see Sky wide awake "Hey boo!" I smiled climbing into the bed "Nothing" she mumbled And if you know Sky like I know her, she's never quite.
"I know you were scared, but it's gonna be okay" I told her softly rubbing her hair "How do you know?! We are from Compton stuff don't never just be okay" she semi yelled
"NO! Stuff will be okay, because that's what I said it was gonna be, matter fact stuff gonna fantastic" I replied getting out the bed.
I hate when people say that, yea it's Compton but not all of it is bad. I didn't give her a chance to replied. If you feel like you're stuck then leave. Point. Blank. Period.
