The scream echoed throughout the maze. The scream sounded young and girly. My eyes widened as I realized it was Lynn's. Before I started racing to rescue her from death, I remembered the fact that it was all just some sort of attraction. Except Jade and Ryan had disappeared and weren't returned to us after the magicians trick. I turned back but decided it would be okay and continued forward on my journey to the end, where I knew I'd be reunited with Lynn.
I made my way through the corridor of mirrors, getting lost a few times and was almost through the exit when another scream echoed, Lynn's again, except this time it was followed by a choking cry for help. I started back into the maze, working my way through my reflections but before I could find my way through to Lynn, everything went black. The room was pitch black until a red back-up light came on. It flickered throughout the corridor. The screams and cries had stopped and my breathing was calming back into a normal pace. Only until a dark figure entered the corridor with me.
He breathed deep and was very large. The red light flickered and revealed an angry and deceitful clowns face. The light flickered again and I noticed a dark substance drenched over him. A grim image came to mind, involving the clown and Lynn. My heart sank and I gagged. The clown took a slow step forward with each flicker of the light. I began walking away until the clown began to pick up pace, that's when I also picked up pace, then when his jog turned into a run, I ran. When his run became I sprint, I accelerated in speed myself. I reached the exit door, but it was jammed. The clown steady back down to a walk when he was just a few feet away from me. I pushed and shoved and kicked at the door. The clown was just inches away when I threw my body into the door and flew out. I fell to the hard and wet pavement and the clown started running at me again but before his feet could step through the exit, the medal exit door swung shut and crashed into his skull, throwing him back to the ground.
I was pressured to see what damage had been done, but I decided the best thing to do was to stay put. Tiny drops of rain trickled down my leather jacket and skin. My gelled hair was covered with rain drops. I picked myself up and stood in silence, hoping Lynn would pop out of the other exit door any second. After minutes of waiting I was sure she wasn't coming out. The same thing that had happened to the others had happened to her. I started down the wet path that led to the lighted area. As I grew closer, circus music played louder and louder. My hands were freezing in my pockets thanks to the cold leather, and the rest of my body was shivering. I shouldn't of come, I thought to myself. I should've said no.
I dispersed from the dark and cold ally-way to find myself at a carnival. The circus music defied my thoughts, so I could no longer hear what I was thinking. The carnival lights were brighter than three suns, blinding my vision. I squinted as I tripped and limped through the carnival. I couldn't make out anything around me. My right food stubbed into something hard then, and I fell grasping the air, trying to find someplace to hold myself up. My hand found a cold, medal pole but it wasn't helpful because the pole seemed to be moving. It actually helped gravity pull me tot he ground. I was flung to the ground and my head hit something hard, just like my foot had. Everything was dimming out, but I could still see the two shadows approaching me.

Four claps broke my slumber and when my eyes shot open pain flowed through my head. Everything was blurry for a little while until my vision began coming back. My body was incapable of moving. I looked to see my arms and feet were strapped to a boarded wall. Headmaster Bones was standing in front of me, eyes wide and smile yellow. Two clowns were beside him, probably the two shadows I had seen before I fainted. My head pounded as Bones laughed.
"Where the hell am I Bones?" I moaned.
"Your in the Big Top, Jake!" Bones snorted.
"Why? Why am I still here?" I barked.
"Because, I wanted to ask you a few questions, Jakey dear," Bones giggled.
"What?!" I gasped. "I brought you my friends, I even brought Lynn! What more do you want? I brought you what you asked for? You going to eat my souls to?!"
"Jakey, Jakey, Jakey. I'm not going to eat your soul, and I'm the one who's going to ask the questions, young man?" Bones growled. "Understand?!"
"Yes," I whined.
"First, I wanna know why the hell you came? I only asked for you to send your little friends this way."
"I tried to talk them out of bringing me along, but they wouldn't leave me behind," I explained.
"So, it didn't have to do with the fact that I was going to kill pretty little Lynny?" He asked, stepping aside to show me a blood drenched and cut apart Lynn.
I gagged, "It may of had a little to do with that, but I didn't do anything did I?!" A tear trickled down my cheek, barley noticeable since I was drenched in rain.
"I guess you didn't."
"Now am I free to go?"
"Not yet? I wanna offer you something."
"What?"
"Immortality!" Bones exclaimed.
"Why?" I asked, my voice cracking a little.
"You were so persistent to get out of my little clown town and you followed through with your job! A whole bunch of other teens whom I've asked for their friends souls from couldn't do it! They loved their friends too much. You, you are the star pupil. One of the only ones to bring me their friends soul, in order to keep theirs. So selfish I love it!" Bones danced around in glee. "That's why I would love to offer you a job on my chief of staff-"
I cut him off, "Don't you have enough staff and aren't these two knuckle-heads already your chiefs?!"
"Yes well I can make room," Bones explained. He pulled something from behind his belt and seconds later a hole was in the clown to his right's head. "Now there's a spot open!"
"You're crazy!" I cried. "There is no way in hell I am going to work for you psychopath! I don't wanna live forever, not after what I've done! I don't think I can bear doing this to anyone else's friends!"
"If you wanna do this the hard way," Bones grumbled.
Bones took out a glass flask and opened the bottle than began chanting out strange words in another language. My body went numb and my vision was gone once again, but I could still hear everything going on around me. I choked as something began to climb up my throat. It tasted like iron, it might've been blood but I couldn't tell. The substance was gone after a minute or two and I was sure I was dead...
My eyes opened to a dark room. I was in a bed and a t.v. was going off just at the edge of the room, but it wasn't bright enough to show my tired eyes anything around me. I sniffed and bundled up in my blankets as a cold chill flowed through me. It was all a dream, I thought to myself. My eyes shot open in shock as I finally realized what was one the t.v.
"Five young adults from Newport, Ohio have been missing for a few days now..." The speaker on the t.v. explained.
A picture of Ryan, Jade, Kyle, Lynn, and me were displayed across the small screen. A knock came from somewhere in the room until I could make out a door through the darkness. I stood up from my bed and began to fall instantly, it was like we were on a train or something. I tumbled to the other side of the room and opened the door.
With his eyes wide and his smile yellow, Bones exclaimed, "Good morning beautiful!"
