The circus lights were practically blinding me and the circus music was making my ears bleed. My heart was racing as we approached the ticket booth at the start of the eerie attraction. The sign above the ticket booth read, Killer Clown Town. "Killer Clown Town" is a new haunted attraction and it's theme is a creepy circus filled from top to bottom with clowns, my worst fear.

Ryan ran ahead of us and bought five tickets for every attraction. One for Jade (his girlfriend), Kyle (Ryan's older brother), Lynn (my best friend and crush since the fifth grade), and me. We walked through the gate and were welcomed by a creepy, yet young and attractive, ringmaster.

"Hello, my name is Ringmaster Bones and-" Ringmaster Bones' introduction was cut off by a woman's screams. He looked annoyed until the woman's screams cut off out of nowhere.

A grim smile formed across his face and he continued, "As I was saying. Welcome to Killer Clown Town. I will be joining you through the big top at the end of the attraction to see how many of you there are left. But first, I think you should go see our magic act."

Ringmaster Bones pointed towards a theater in the lot. The sign atop it read, The Amazing Murderer. We all examined it and when we turned back to the Ringmaster, he had vanished. We all looked at each other cautiously for a few seconds before everyone broke into laughter. Everyone except me.

"That was a hellava trick," Ryan added as we headed to the magic show.

Jade knocked on the door cautiously but we got no reply. She knocked again, but this time a hand shot out of the door and stopped her. The hand was green with black, sharp nails. The hand came attached to a green man in a black suit with some crimson splotches on it. He had a velvet cape and tie and a black top had with holes throughout it. The mans eyes were bloodshot and his lips were drenched and red lipstick.

The man let go of Jades wrist dusted off and invited us inside. When we walked in, he was gone too. Everyone kept disappearing. The group sat down in the front row out of three and whispered to each other.

"This place is pretty cool so far, huh Jake?" Lynn whispered in my ear.

"Sure, cool," I tried whispering back through my chattering teeth.

"Are you cold?" Lynn asked.

"A little," I lied, scared of what she'd think if she knew I was afraid of clowns.

Lynn wrapped her arms around me and leaned her head on my right shoulder.

"That better Jake?"

"That's fine," I smiled back and caressed her hair.

The spotlight began to Flash on the stage and fog poured in throughout the whole entire room. Just as I began to calm down, my heart began to race again. I tried to calm down, knowing that Lynn would feel my heart rate excelling and know of how scared I was, but there was no use; my heartbeat wouldn't slow down.

The lights continued flickering making it hard to notice the man entering the stage. The lights stopped flickering and the room was pitch black until a black light came on. The mans skin and the red splotches on his black and velvet suit glowed. The box next to him had yellow and white question marks and exclamation marks on it that were also glowing. The circus music grew louder in the theater.

"Hello Lady's and Gentleman," the green man announced. "I am The Amazing Murderer and I will perform one trick for you. It'll be so good, you'll die."

The magician laughed maniacally then added, "I will need one assistant from the audience. Any volunteers?"

No ones hands went up and even the joyful, but creepy, circus music couldn't make it less awkward. The magician scoffed.
