Ichigo X Rukia -One Shots and Short Stories-

Soccer Stunt!

"We're playing soccer," Ichigo explained to Rukia, "This Thursday with the gang."

Rukia poked at the round soccer ball with a stick, "I don't understand? I'm supposed to kick it?"

Ichigo sighed realising that this was going to be a very long day, "Yes, into the goal. Come on, I'll show you how."

Ichigo demonstrated to Rukia how kick the ball into the goal, he started off simple, a basic kick into the goal, he then let Rukia have a go.

"This game is very simple, and easy too." Rukia commented not understanding the real difficulty.

"Ok, if your so sure of yourself try to get the ball past me and into the goal, remember no hands, feet alone." Ichigo smirked sure of victory.

Rukia charged sending the ball flying out of the field and into the bushes. Ichigo sighed thinking told you so.

The two went to collect the lost the ball. "This game is stupid,there's no point to it." Rukia complained.

"You just started, of course your not perfect!" The carrot top pointed out the obvious.

Not perfect, Rukia echoed. "Just how far did you kick it?" Ichigo sighed as the duo entered the thick bush which surrounded the field. "I only used half my strength." The raven haired Soul Reaper stated. Ichigo made a sour face at this.

"Over here!" Rukia called to her companion. "I've found it!" Ichigo joined Rukia at the base of a large tree, "how did I not notice this before.." he murmured. The tree stood grandly on ancient roots, flowers fully in blossom, sparking with rays of speckled sunlight. It was a truly beautiful sight.

The two stood together under the tree for a long time, not sure of the right words or actions. Finally Ichigo spoke, a blush tinged on his face, "This can be our tree.. how about it?" Rukia looked at Ichigo confused "What?"

Ichigo smiled, that's Rukia for you, the two spent the rest of the day sitting under the tree, with Ichigo explaining the rules of soccer.
