Before I go

Chapter 4~ Meeting Him

I said "thank you" again and I started to walk away.
    "Hey I didn't get your name!" He yelled while I was walking away. I turn around and said, "It's Amari."
     He smiled at me again and I continued to walk. This school is so huge that I wasn't sure where to go. The guy who I bumped into, was right behind me and he looked at my schedule.
     "I have that class too. Come on I'll show you where it is." He told me smiling. I wasn't sure why he was helping me. No one never does stuff that's nice for me.
     "Don't worry you can sit next to me. No one is sitting next to me so it's all yours." The guy told me pointing at a desk, in the far left corner in the back.
"Good morning class today we're going to watch a movie like any other day, now get out a notebook and watch the movie." The teacher told us. It was a good thing I was prepared.
"I want you to invite you to a party that I'm going to have at my house," Jovani said. I found out his name because of his name on the cover on his notebook.
"I have to ask my parents. I just moved here and your already asking me to go to a party. Where I have no clue who anybody is," I told Jovani. He was really cute and I love his dark green eyes.
"Amari your the only girl who I really want to be there. Come on I promise I will take care of—" he could finish what he was going to say because Mr. S was coming over towards us.
"Shhh!" He told both of us. I looked at Jovani and he was watching the movie. Our chairs were so close that I could feel his breath on me. I started to get butterflies. A couple of minutes later I was getting really bored that I fell asleep.
"Amari, Amari wake up." I heard Jovani while he shocked my body softly. I got up and I looked at him with a smile. He smiled back at me with his perfect white straight teeth.
"I will go to your party only if you come with me to ask permission." I told him. He agreed and we walked out of the class.
By the time it was lunch I was happy that I met a new friend. Jovani was with me almost all morning. He never kept an eye off at me.
"I want you to meet my friends. Your the only girl friend I have the rest are guys." He explained to me. That's weird, why would he choose me to be his only girl friend.
After school
Since I told Jovani that he was going to have to come with me to ask permission, he drive me home.
"Look Amari, I know that I just meet you today but your smile is so beautiful and I can't stop looking at your light green eyes. Your the most beautiful girl I've seen in my high school years." Jovani told me. I thought it was playing around with me but he had a serious face on.
"Your kidding right?" I asked him while looking at him. He shook his head and he stopped the car.
"Why are you stopping? We're almost there." I asked him. He better not do anything crazy. He grabbed my hand and he looked straight at my eyes.
"Love at first sight. I believe in that with you Amari. I know that we just meet but we can get to know each other more and have fun." Jovani told me.
"Okay fine I also believe in love at first sight, but if we go out and all you have to tell my adopted parents," I told him. I shouldn't have said adopted because I didn't want no one to knew.
"I will tell your adopted parents about how I feel and I love you." Jovani said. He didn't care if I was adopted he care if I went out with him and he seems like a good responsible person.
