Shinkai Kanata x Reader : Between The Sea and The Surface (Enstars)

You back home from school, using your usual road. You lived not far from the sea so you can see how the sea sparkling when the sun bright and every night you can hear the wave singing, you quite like lived there. You know about the deep sea village and most of their peoples are school and work on surface they seem like ordinary surface peoples but you never met one because you never go out from home except to go to school.

"I'm home~" you said while you enter your house.

"Welcome back, (f/n)." said your grandpa.

You lived with your Dad and a parents from your Dad your mom passed away when you still child. You goes to the kitchen and drink some water because the weather are pretty hot today. You took your towel about to take a bath, just imagine bathing on the water make you felt how fresh is it. You opened your bathroom door and how surprised are you when you found out a man bathing on the bathtub.

"WAARGH!!!" you scream so loud when you saw him, look like he is in the deep sleep.

You ran as fast as you can, walking out of house. Your grandpa who fixing net surprised when he heard you screaming and saw at you.

"O-Ojii-san...who is the man in the bathtub?" you asked panic.

"Oh...that man, i saw him collapse in the road near the sea when i see him he is from the same school as you so i took him here," he said calmly.

"B-but..he is stranger..when don't know where he come from," you still scared of the strange man.

"He is from the deep sea village, here's..bring it to the tub and put the salt on the water," your grandpa giving you a sack of salt.

"B-b-but.."

"No but. I know you can do it!" your grandpa raise his thumb at you.

Though had a serious face but deep inside your grandpa and your dad were an airhead. You walking to bathroom again, making yourself as brave as always to check him. Whenever you open the door he already woke up and then he took a glance at you, you surprised a bit but he smile at your behavior.

"Sorry, i just want to give you this," you said while showing a sack of salt.

"Um! It's nothing, sure you can. I'm the only who need permission here, a stranger in your bathroom," he said.

He seem a kind person to you just hearing his voice you just know he is kind person and so humble. You enter and sat on the chair next the tub, you put some salt at the water.

"Need more?" you asked.

"No, thank you~ who's your name? Mine is Shinkai Kanata, i got lose when i just want to go to my new school," he said and chuckles.

"My name is (l/n)(f/n), you are about to go to Yumenosaki high school?" you said when you saw his uniform logo.

"Right~ i got lost and the sun is too harsh i can get myself stand anymore my ena* already cracked up and need water but when i about to jump into the sea, i collapse." he explained so detail.

"That was so detail right? I'm in Yumenosaki too," you smiled finally can get along with him.

"(L/n)...your skin is so beautiful~ your eyes is just like a sea..." he said getting closer to your face.

You avoid him an inch, and avert his gaze since you know he is right see at your face. You had a really red face like a ripped tomato.

"W-well..can you..it's a little bit too close," you said while push him away lightly.

"Hehe...sorry,"

After that you walking him back to sea, you never know if a peoples from the sea village is such a kind and *cough* *cough* handsome. You know that he may be a new classmate that your friend said but he never come. You about to sleep and heard a sing from the sea, a wave was calming you just like a lullaby.

In the morning, you woke up and saw a little cloudy sky it's make you lazy to get up from your comfortable bed. You wash your face and quickly eat some breakfast and get dressed, you running so hurrily when you realized you already late.  Class begin just like usual.

Just skip the school part

When you about to go home, rains suddenly pour so heavy. You sighed realized you didn't bring your umbrella with you. Most of your friends already go home and it's already dark and the rains still haven't stop. You got annoyed when you about to walk home straight your eyes caught a familiar figure, he brought an umbrella with him and approach you. He hands you his umbrella and smile at you. He is Kanata.

"Here's (f/n)-chan~" he hands your umbrella.

"How can?" you asked unbelievable.

"I came to your house and your dad said that you forgot to bring your umbrella with you so i took it and gave it to you," he said.

You end up walking home together with him. But, along the way he didn't use umbrella he just held your umbrella for you and let his uniform wet cause the rains.

"Kanata-san, let's use this umbrella together i think it fit for two of us," you said while pull his hands to go under the umbrella.

"No~ i'm fine like this~ puka-puka..."

"You will get cold if you get wet like that!" You force him.

"You forget (f/n)-chan~ i lived in the sea village, i always get wet by water..."

"Oh, you right."

Both of you had an awkward moment, so you just stay silent and Kanata still had amazed on his eyes looking at the sea, you stare at his face a quite long until he realized you stare at him too long. He stare back at you, smiling like planning something.

"What's wrong (f/n)-chan?" He asked curious.

"No-nothing!" you said quickly hide your blushing face.

"Really~ it's feel like you staring at me," you felt your face more red than before.

"Nah..it's just...just..." You trailing off the words but nothing coming out from your mind.

"Just what?"

"Like i said it's--" he cut you off by the short kiss on your lips, he pulled away and still staring at you.

"You are cute when you nervous and pretend like a tsundere~" he teased you more.

"I'm not tsundere! Baka!" You running get away from him and leaving him holding your umbrella alone.

"Wait me! (F/n)-chan! You will get cold if you running under rains like that!" He chased after you while holding your umbrella making you chuckled looking at him.

"Sorry..." You apologized.

"(F/n)-chan~ be my girlfriend?"

"Sure, Kanata!" You hug him and make your uniform wet because of his uniform.
