The moment Alena had arrived back at the fort, she instantly stormed into the tent she shared with her sister, Amihan.
She needed to know the truth. She needed to know if there was something going on between her sister and Ybarro.
"Alena, saan ka ba nagpunta?" Amihan asked, upon seeing her sister. "Kanina ka pa namin hinahanap." She added.
"Amihan, tapatin mo nga ako." Alena said, her voice a bit shaky. "May namamagitan ba sa inyong dalawa ni Ybarro?" She asked.
Amihan's heart beat began to race.
"A-ano bang pinagsasabi mo, Alena?"
"Sagutin mo ko, Amihan!" Alena said, her voice louder than ever before. "May namamagitan ba sa inyong dalawa ni Ybarro? Kailangan kong malaman ang totoo!"
Amihan shed a tear before finally opening her mouth to speak. There was no point in denying the truth that Alena had already uncovered.
"Oo. May namamagitan nga sa aming dalawa." She tearfully admitted. "Si Ybrahim, na ama ng aking anak na si Lira, at si Ybarro.. ay iisa."
Alena felt her whole world shatter as Amihan had said this. She could not believe that the sister she loved so much and the man she wanted to spend the rest of her life with was in love with each other.
"Bakit hindi mo sinabi sa akin na si Ybarro ang Engkatado sa iyong panaginip, Amihan? Bakit tinago mo sa akin ang katotohanan?" Alena asked.
"Dahil natakot ako, Alena." Amihan replied. "Natakot ako, sapagkat alam kong mahal mo siya at ayokong masaktan ka."
Alena scoffed at her sister's explanation.
"Sa pamamagitan ng pagtago mo sa akin ng katotohanan, sinaktan mo na ako ng labis labis, Amihan!" She said, with rage in her eyes. "Hindi ko lubos akalain na si Pirena pa pala ang nagsasabi ng totoo." She added.
"Alena, magkinig ka sa akin." Amihan pleaded. "Oo, alam kong mali ang naging desisyon kongitago sa'yo ang katauhan ng ama ni Lira, pero kung noon pa man ay nalaman mo ng si Ybarro ang Engkatadong iyon, hindi ka man lang ba makakaramdam ng galit sa akin? Hindi ba mag-iiba ang iyong tingin kay Ybarro?"
Alena looked away, upon realizing that her hara was right. Had she known earlier that Ybarro was the Engkantado that Emre had sent to Amihan, she wasn't quite sure if she'd feel so ecstatic about it. As a matter of fact, she'd probably bear ill feelings towards her sister for the rest of her life.
But still, that was her choice to make. Not Amihan's.
"Patawarin mo ako, aking kapatid. Patawarin mo ako sapagkat itinago ko sa'yo ang katatohanan. Patawarin mo ako sapagkat.. mahal ko si Ybarro." Amihan held both of Alena's hand as she knelt down in front of her.
"Sinubukan kong pigilan ang aking sarili, Alena. Sinubukan kong isara ang aking puso sa kanya, ngunit sa dina-dami ng aming pinagdaanan na magkasama, mas naging matimbang ang aking nadarama kaysa sa kung ano ang tama."
Alena slowly separated Amihan's hands from hers in reply.
"Ssheda, Amihan. Kahit ilang beses ka pang magpaliwanag sa akin, ay hindi na ako makikinig pa." She said, tears flowing out of her eyes. "Pinagkatiwalaan kita, sapagkat alam kong isa kang mabuting kapatid, ngunit anung ginawa mo? Pinagtaksilan mo ako. Kayong dalawa ni Ybarro." She added.
"Dahil sa ginawa ninyo, parang paulit-ulit niyo na rin akong pinatay." Alena said. "Sana.. maging masaya kayong dalawa. Paalam, aking taksil na kapatid." She added, and then she disappeared.
"Alena!" Amihan cried out.
Almost immediately, Ybarro came into the tent and rushed to Amihan's side with concern evident in his face.
"E correi, anung nangyari?" He asked, having just arrived at the fort after visiting Sapiro. "Bakit ika'y lumuluhod sa lupa?"
"Ybrahim, si Alena.." Amihan answered. "Alam na niya ang tungkol sa atin.. at galit na galit siya."
"Ano?" Ybarro responded, feeling both shocked and worried.
There was a part of him that wanted to go after Alena and check how she was, but he needed to make sure that Amihan was alright. She was his priority after all.
"Ano na ang gagawin natin? Ayokong magkaroon ng lamat ang relasyon namin ni Alena." Amihan said.
Ybarro wiped the tears that were flowing from his queen's eyes and planted a soft kiss on her forehead.
"Tahan na, mahal kong reyna. Wag kang mag-alala. Aayusin ko ito. Aayusin ko ang lahat ng ito."
