Ruby slowly opened her eyes, her vision blurring in and out. She hadn't known how long she'd slept for, she pushed her self off the hard , uncomfortable mattress and set her feet down on the dark Wooden floor of the cabin. She stood, wincing at the pain that stroke her foot. She noticed the fireplace was now lit, bringing the cabin to a light glow, she walked her self over to her basket that sat on the small circular table.
She over stayed her welcome in the cabin, wolves were speedy and by now probably right on her trail. She walked over to the table, using the wall to support herself , pushing some of the weight off the only capable foot. She heard the crunch of the snow just outside the cabin, someone or something was coming. She ran her way to the table, ignoring the unbearable pain she felt. She rummaged through the basket and gripped onto she bow and arrow. Aiming at the small cabin door, she prepared her self, the foot steps were only getting closer.
The foot step grew closer, Ruby prepared herself, when all the sudden everything stopped as if one has pressed pause , she heard nothing but the crackling of the fire against the wood. The sudden silence only irritated her. She slowly backed up, careful of where she placed her foot. Her arrow still in hand she took another step back, she lifted her foot and slowly pushed down on the dark wooden floor, it creaked. She lifted her foot and tried the next tile, it creaked as well. Looking back at the door she could hear soft whispers. She could barely make out the words.
".....she's young.....beautiful....red coat....yes.....passing these woods last night.....of course"
"shit" she said to herself. She ran to the bed not caring how much noise she was making. She needed to leave, and she needed to do it NOW! She stepped into her shoes, then grabbed her basket. Now she only needed to find her exit, the door was not an option, neither was the window. She was stuck, she looked down at the floor, and just near the bed she saw a handle. Tilting her head to the side she moved closer to the bed, a smile creeped up her face when she realized what the handle was. Her exit, she moved the carpet that covered the door, she glanced back at the door, she could still hear the faint whispers. She pulled on the handle, and descended down the stairs, closing the door behind her. She reached the bottom of the stairs only to find a wine cellar, she walked around circling the room, trying the seek a way out. But there was nothing. Above her she heard foot steps, first only a pair, then two which turned to three, four, five, then six. The room got quiet for a minute.
"she was here boss, I can smell her!!" a deep rusty voice said.
"you lied to me" another voice said, his voice though calm sent ice down Ruby's spine.
"no, Alpha Hall you must understand, I haven't used this cabin in years. I knew not till this morning that fugitives were here. Please you must believe me." a voice pleaded, it sounded different then the man who had been with Ruby the night before. If he had any cells in his brain he would've ran far from here.
"breath my child, you have no need to fear me, I'm yourAlpha not the devil. I simply need to find this female. You see she killed one of my strongest wolf last night, how can my pack see me as their Alpha if i have this...child killing my men? You my child you have my faith in your hand, her presence is still near, she must be here, where would she go?" how could such an angelic voice be so sinful, his voice enough was like poison.
"she-she must of used the cellar door. Behind the wooden stairs there's a door that leads to a tunnel, it runs into the next village. That's the only other way out of here" the shaky voice said.
"thank you my child." " I want everyone on the hunt for her! No one sleeps until we have her head on a stick, is that clear! She will pay for what she has done, SHE WILL PAY!!!"
"Alex, I want you to inform the pack, call any other neighboring Alpha's and tell them of this girl, I want her captured and returned to me untouched."
"Yes boss!"

I've had the biggest writers Block ever. I honestly didn't know how to finish this chapter, more so how to start it. So any personal ass beating is completely deserved! Yes I know it's short. Forgive me. I already have a formation ready for the next chapter which I'm excited about so I promise it won't take 5 months for me to write it!!
XOXO
