***Junkai's POV***

Qian Xi and I waited in the lobby for Ling er and Meizi to meet us, so we could head out to dinner. It was now getting on fifteen minutes of waiting. I rolled my eyes, and I could see that Qian Xi was starting to get antsy as well.

"Should we go check on them?" he suggested

"No. Just give them a couple more minutes. They're girls. They always take forever." I stated. He sighed, and continued pacing the lobby. A few more minutes passed, before they finally came down. I let out a sigh of relief, and took Ling er's hand in mine. Although, I could tell immediately something's not right.

"Baby? You okay?" I lightly squeezed her hand. She just nodded, avoiding eye contact. I could tell that was complete bullshit, but decided to just brush it off for now. I'll find out later on tonight.

****Later on that night****

The second we got back to the room, Ling er went straight to the bedroom, and laid down. I furrowed my eyebrows, and walked over to her, placing her head on my lap. She and Meizi have been acting weird all night. Especially Ling er. I knew she was hiding something. I'm not that stupid. She and Meizi kept mouthing words to each other, and going to the bathroom to talk. She barely spoke at all to anyone. She just sat there, keeping her head hanging low.

"Ling er, tell me what's up. Don't even bother trying to lie, 'cause I know.  What are you hiding?" I made my voice as stern as possible.

"N-Nothing. I wanna be alone. Please."

"Well that's just too bad. Tell me what's up, and I'll leave you alone for the rest of the night."

"Nothing, Xiao Kai."

"Ling er."

"Leave me alone."

"No!" I shouted. I could tell I scared her a bit by the way she jumped.

"Stop. Please, leave me alone. We'll talk about it later."

"No. We're talking about it now!"

"No!"

"Don't make me go ask Meizi. I know she'll tell me. Would you rather me hear it from her, or from you? Now for the last time. Ling er, what is going on?"

"Leave me alone!" She screamed, throwing a pillow at me. I clenched my fists, and looked over my shoulder, seeing Qian Xi and Meizi looking at us as if this were a movie.

"Will you two please excuse us?" I said sternly. They exchanged looks, before nodding, and heading out of the room.

"Alright, Ling er. I'm going to go take a shower. If you don't tell me what's up by the time I get out, I'm going to Meizi for answers. I promise, If you tell me, I don't care what it is, but if you're the one that tells me, I won't get mad. But if I hear it from her, I'll be furious. Okay? So why don't you think about that while I'm in the shower." I could see the tears forming in her eyes, as she threw her head on the pillow. The sound of her muffled sobs made my insides burn. I closed my eyes, before heading to the bathroom.

I stripped off all my clothes, and got into the warm shower. The warm water relaxed my body, calming me down a bit. Not far into my shower, the water started to turn cold. I gritted my teeth, and turned the shower off. I got out, and looked at myself in the mirror. I grabbed a bottle of hair gel, and tried squeezing it out. Just my luck. Empty. I rolled my eyes, and sighed, throwing it into the trash. That's when I saw it. Bingo.

I grabbed the pregnancy test the laid in the trash, and studied it. Positive. How does Ling er think she can hide that from me? I felt a sudden rage build up in me, before storming out the bathroom door, in nothing but a towel wrapped around my waist.

"Ling er, do you care to explain this?"

"I-I-I-"

"You were planning on hiding this from me?" The tears were already pouring out of her eyes.

"I-I wanted to tell you later. When I was ready. I wasn't ready tonight. I wasn't going to hide it from you. You know I'd never do that. I was just scared." she sobbed

"But Ling er, we've done this before! I wasn't mad last time, why would I be mad this time?"

"I don't know, okay? I was scared!"

"Why are you afraid of your own husband!? I would never hurt you, you know that"

"I don't know! I'm sorry, okay?"

"No. I'm the father, and I should know before anyone. That's what you were talking to Meizi about all night, am I right?" she slowly nodded. "Gosh" I mumbled.

"I'm sorry." she whispered.

"I'll be back in a bit" I sighed

"Where are you going?"

"Just need some air to cool off"

"Please, don't leave me." she sobbed.

"Ling er, just give me space. This is a lot to take in. I'll be back." she buried her face back into the pillow. I sighed, and walked out.
