After class ended I stood outside of the room waiting for the girl to walk out.Once she did I walked up behind her and lightly touched her shoulder,she flinched and turned around with a scared expression on her face but one she realized it was only me she began to calm down.
"Hey,"I said
"Hi" she replied
"I'm sorry I scared you,it's just that I wanted to get your attention and I never got the chance to ask you for your name"I explained to her
"It's Anna", she said and smiled shyly "what's yours?"
"Calum,I know it's stupid right,"I said and laughed
"No I like it"she stated and blushed
"thanks"I relied and grinned widely "Anyways,what are you doing after school?"
"I never really do anything,why?"she said
"Well I just moved here and I was wondering if you would show me around,"I asked her silently praying in my head that she would say yes
"I don't know,i don't really like to be around to many people,"she told me with a small frown on her face.
I wasn't sure what she meant by her not liking to be around to many people but I didn't want to push her to tell me.
"Please,you can just show me the places that you like to go"I begged her with a pout on my lips
"Fine"she gave in
"Okay so i'll meet you outside after school and we'll go from there?" I asked her
"Sure she replied
"So i'll see you later,"i said
"Yeah later," she said with the most beautiful smile on her face.Everytime I look at her I lose my breath.She's so beautiful.Why doesn't she believe it?
It's here.The time I was dreading most .Lunch.I mean I love food and everything but I was just so scared that I'd end up being a loner or getting stared at.The only people that (i'd talked/actually acknowledged me) to today were my teachers and Anna but I was okay with that.
I walked into the lunchroom and I felt as though everyone was staring at me as I walked by them.I walked to the back of the lunch room.As I was looking for a seat I saw Anna in the back reading Looking for Alaska by john green and listening to music.As I walked closer to her I could hear the song she was listening to,it was Amy by Green Day.
"you just keep on getting better Anna,"I said and tapped her shoulder to get her attention
"What,"she said slightly startled
"you just keep getting better,first you wear a blink 182 shirt,then you're listening to green day,AND your reading john green.You're actually perfect"I said and smiled lightly at her.
"not true but thank you," she said and blushed with the cutest smile on her face "you read?"
"Yeah I absolutely love reading and john green is one of my favorite authors"I replied to her
"Me too,his book are just so amazing and captivating,"she said
"right"I agreed with her"i'm actually reading will grayson,will grayson and I love green day"
"Do you want to listen to green day and read with me?"she asked me shyly and held out one of the earbuds for me to take
"I would love too"I answered and took the earbud from her then sat next to her and we both began reading our john green book and listening to Amy.
