7:00 am

My alarm started to go off, causing me to whine and roll over onto my side. My eyes slowly started to open, the alarm on my phone continuing to go off. A huff of aggravation passed my lips as I grabbed my phone off my nightstand and snoozed the annoying alarm. It seemed just as I snoozed the alarm, which would go off again Monday morning at the same time, Hayden barged in, "AMAYA GET UP." The sixteen year old boy practically screamed as he came in my room.

I glared over at him, "I AM UP YOU RETARD." I replied, my voice just as loud as his. Hayden started laughing for some unknown  reason, causing me to roll my eyes, "Get out, Hayden." I ordered and rolled over onto my stomach. "Make me." He replied childishly, sticking his tongue out at me. I grabbed a slipper that was at the side of my bed and tossed it in his direction only to hear him let out a girly squeal and close my door.

I couldn't help but chuckle as I slipped out of bed, only wearing a pair of underwear and an oversized tee that once belonged to my ex boyfriend Connor; and yes, I still do wear it because it's comfortable and oversized tees are sorta my thing. Sighing, I ran my fingers through my messy strawberry blonde hair, whimpering when my fingers would get caught in a knot. I walked over to my closet, still running my fingers through what seemed like an endless amount of knots in my hair.

I pulled a random sweater off a hanger and pulled down a pair of black high waisted jeans. I then tossed the articles of clothing onto my bed and grabbed a random bra out of a drawer in my bureau. I took off the tee shirt and put on the black bra that I took out of the drawer. After about a minute of hooking my bra together, I pulled on the tie dye sweatshirt that I took out of my closet then managed to put on my jeans. A huff of relief left my lips once I was completely dressed .

I jogged downstairs after completely being ready. My hair was in milkmaid braids and I had my all black converse on. I checked the time on my phone; 7:45 am. I cursed to myself as I started to quicken my pace, grabbing my bookbag off the sofa that was by the foyer, "Rat, let's go!" I yelled, referring to my younger brother, "Stop calling me that!" He whined as he came down the stairs in a black tee which had small holes scattered around it, ripped black jeans and his all black converse. I simply rolled my eyes before walking out the door with him then walking to school.

I walked through the main doors of my school at about 8:00 am and Hayden had already ran off to go hang out with his friends and his boyfriend. Yeah Hayden was gay; No, our mom didn't know because of how much of a damn homophobe she is. All she seems to do is talk crap about the LGBT community whenever someone mentions something about it which was why she knew about neither of our sexualities.

I seemed to have gotten caught up in my thoughts while I was at my locker, grabbing whatever books I needed for my class because all of a sudden I felt a smack on the back of my head, causing me to jump slightly and turn my head and look over at one of my best friends, Courtney Hudson. I sighed and shut my locker, "Sorry, I zoned out." I apologized, shuffling my feet. A chuckle left the dark haired girl's lips, "Dude, what's been on your mind lately? You've been so off." Courtney spoke, looking at me. Another sigh left my lips before I looked back at her, "You're gonna think I'm stupid.." I muttered, shaking my head. She scoffed, "Shut the hell up and don't be so idiotic. I'm your best friend; tell me." She ushered, playfully hitting my shoulder. "Fine whatever. You know how Connor has that new girlfriend, Adelaide, right?" I started, looking at her as she nodded her head, "It's bothering me a lot; he can do so much better than her." I admitted, hugging in frustration. "Amaya, he had better and that was you but you gave him up. Why are you so concerned about it if you're the one who left him?" She questioned, closing my locker as the two of us started walking to find Kendall and Kristina.

I rolled my eyes, "Don't remind me, please." Ever since I broke up with Connor, I regretted it. After months of trying to figure out why, I realized it was because I had that thought stuck in my mind that he could do ten times better than me. Hell, I still to this day wonder why he ever even asked me out. "I just... I still care for him. I always have and always will even if he hates me and I just want him to have what he deserves, not what he'll settle for, y'know?" I asked rhetorically, glancing over at Courtney. "I get it." She nodded her head.

"Whatcha talkin' about?" Kendall chimed,  her usual bright smile on her face. Both Courtney and I looked at the two girls, "Nothing," I replied with a shrug of my shoulders, slipping my hands in my jeans pockets before my gaze moved down to my feet. Both Kendall and Kristina raised their eyebrows as I looked up at them , "What?" I spoke a bit harsh, "Nothing." The two mumbled in sync. Suddenly the bell rang, signaling that students needed to start heading to class. "I'll see you guys tonight, yeah?" I spoke up to break the silence between the four of us, "Totally, your place right?" Kristina spoke before I nodded my head, "Yep," I responded before Courtney and I headed to our class and Kristina and Kendall headed to theirs.

The entire time, I couldn't seem to get Connor off my mind.
