THE TRUTH ABOUT LOVE
Chapter 3: Your rules, my game
Vivi's P.O.V.
"How was school? Did you make any friends?"
The moment I step inside the house, mom storms over with raised eyebrows and a lot of expectations. Too bad nothing spectacular happened... in my opinion.
"I guess I became friends with the girl I met at the party the other night," I reply as I climb the stairs towards my room.
Just let me go without your stupid inquisition.
"That's all?" She snaps irritated, crossing her arms.
"Yes." I say, trying to sound like I'm not going answer any questions.
Mom makes a disappointed sound and waves her hand dismissively letting me know I'm free from this stupid review of my first day. As she turns around to leave I notice her gym outfit: leggings and a tiny tank top.
"Where are you going?" I ask frowning at the small amount of coverage offered by her clothing.
"Gym," she responds without turning "there's food in the microwave."
I openmm my bedroom's door and let myself crash on the bed. Peaceful and silent, just how I like it. I stare at the walls trying to find dirty spots or fingerprints but there's nothing. Mom must be working really hard to keep everything perfect.
As I stay in my room doing nothing, a familiar song that filled the house for six hours last Friday, maddens me once again. I really hate my father's alarm. Because I'm such a good daughter I decide to ignore it. He loves the song so I'll be able to resist this annoying noise for a few minutes.

"Can you turn that shit off?!"
I yell at my father. His stupid alarm clock sang for the past forty five minutes the same shitty tune while he kept working on my laptop like nothing's happening.
"DAD!"
Nothing happens.
So I go in his room and hit the snooze button. Who the hell sets their alarm in the evening?
"Are you deaf?!"
Still no response. Damn. I'm so mad.
My father's eyes are transfixed to a stack of piles towering on his wooden desk. He studies them carefully without noticing what's happening around him. I'm sure as hell a tank can come in his direction and he won't even hear it.
"What do you want, Vivian?" He asks in a stern voice, adjusting his glasses carefully on his nose.
"Your alarm clock was ringing. I turned it off," I reply gingerly.
"Oh, I didn't hear it. Thank you, princess." He flashes me a half smile and returns his work.
I turn on my heels and stroll in my room just to see my phone buzzing on my bed. Jeez, mobile phones are really pissing me off now.
From: Terri
Are you coming at the party tonight?
Party? Uh. That's the last thing I want right now. Last time I had an encounter with a massive group of people it ended up with an old fashioned brawl between two classy ladies and a food fight. Do I wish to take the risk of repeating one of the weirdest moments of my life? I don't think so.
