"Here's all the receipts you asked for." I nodded and smiled at Kerri. "Thanks." I sat down at my desk and opened the folder. "Sooooo.." Kerri said through a smile. "Im guessing that wasn't all. Kerri shook her head and closed my office door. "You know my birthdays this weekend right??" I nodded. "Yes, how could I forget? You've been reminding everyone since December." Kerri chuckled. "Right. But anyways, you still NEVER gave me a answer as to if your coming to my party or not." I sighed and closed the folder. "I dunno Kerri, Im not in a partying mood." Kerri sat down in a chair infront of my desk and sucked her teeth.

"Your NEVER in a partying mood anymore." I chuckled. "You act as if I used to go out all the time." "No, im not sayin that, but damn, all you do is come to work, and then go home. You need to start livin your life and stop actin as if you live in a damn box." I chuckled again. "Is that anyway to talk to your boss?" Kerri smirked. "Your my friend first, and that's who Im talkin to." I smiled and shook my head. "Sooooooo? are you going to come??" I sat back in my seat and thought a minute. "....Fine I'll come." "YAY!!" Kerri squealed like a five year old. "But." I started. "Im only staying for a hour tops." Kerri sighed. "Fine atleast I got you to come." She got up from her seat and walked over to the door.

I re-opened the folder and began to skim through a few receipts. "There's one more thing." Kerri said holding the door knob. "Im never gunna finish this, am I?" I said closing the folder. Kerri sighed and walked slowly over to my desk. "Okay look, I don't know how your going to take this, but I think it's best to tell you now." I furrowed my brows at her. "...What's goin on?" I asked cautiously. "I don't want to bring this up, but I got to....remember 6 months ago..at Stasia's baby shower?" I rolled my eyes and sighed. "What about that?" Kerri swalloed hard. "Okay, so you remember how I asked you know who to perform??...Well he's performing.." I rubbed my temples and sighed.

"You've talked to him??" Kerri shook her head. "No...well not exactly...I mean kinda..just to make sure he was still gunna perform." I shook my head. "Really Kerri? After all that happened, you still want him to perform? Theres nobody else that could do it??" "No, and I already paid him, he was going to do it for free, but I didn't know if that offer still standed since....yeah." There was silence between us for a few minutes. "Simone, please come, don't let him stop you." "You know how I feel about him Kerri, I don't know how Im gunna react, it's been 6 months since we've seen one another....I dunno its just to soon." Kerri nodded slowly.

"I get, I get it, but then again try to remember that it is my birthday and you'll be the ONLY one there not celebrating with me and that's gunna bother me." Kerri stared at me with puppy dog eyes. I chuckled sligthtly. "I'll go...fine, i'll go." Kerri smiled brightly. "Thank you girl Im-" All of a sudden my office door flew open. "Yassss she getting live with us saturday!!!" My Employee Ellis said. I shook my head and laughed. "Were you standing behind the door the whole time??" Ellis looked down at his nails and smiled. "Maybe."I laughed. "Y'all BOTH are a trip." Ellis nodded. "We kno gurl, but Im glad you comin out Saturday, you can help me scope out some fiiiiiiiine men." Me and Kerri chuckled.

"All the men that are coming are straight Ellis." Kerri said in a laugh. Ellis shrugged his shoulers. "That never stopped me before." He winked at the both of us. "Ew!" Kerri exclaimed. "I didn't need to kno all that." Ellis smiled and shrugged. "Oh wellll." He said in a sing-song voice. I laughed at Both Kerri and Ellis and shook my head. "You guys are really something else, I can't belie-" My sentence was cut off from a thought. "Wait hol up..if BOTH of you guys are in here....then who the hell is out there helping the customers??" Kerri and Ellis looked at each other, and then back at me. "Yeah, we should get on that.." I nodded. "Yeah." I said in a whisper. Kerri and Ellis scurried out of my office and back on to the floor. I shook my head and opened the folder again, needing to get back to work.
