I took a deep breath as I pulled into the empty driveway. After that talk with August, I decided on reaching out to Stasia. I walked up the steps to MGK's front door, feeling nervous with every step I took. "Here goes nothing." I mumbled. I knocked on the door and waited. "Simone, Im glad you came." MGK said with a slight smile. "Yeah...is Stasia here?" He nodded and stepped aside. "Yeah, she's in the back, come inside." I slowly stepped inside unsure if I really wanted to do this or not. I knew that she needed someone right now, but I was still kind of iffy.
I followed behind MGK as he lead me around his huge house. "Stasia, you have a visitor!" He semi-yelled through the halls. "She should be in the living room with Amara." I nodded. "He stepped to the side and motioned for me to go first. "Thanks for coming Simone." "No problem." I flashed him a small smile, then steped inside the living room. I smiled a little to myself when I seen Stasia on the couch, holding her daughter. "Hey.." I said softly. Stasia looked up from Amara and smiled. "Simone?" I walked over to her slowly and sat beside her.
"Did Rich tell you to come here?" I nodded. Stasia sighed. "Im sorry that he made you come all the way out here, but Im fine, really." I frowned. "Are you sure? from what he told me, you didn't seem okay." Stasia was silent. "Im just here to talk to you, I thought you could use a friend." "A friend?" Stasia said with a frown. "I didn't think we were friends anymore.." She said lowly. "Well you need somebody, and I know your comfortable around me." Stasia was silent for a minute. "....Let me put her down for her nap and I'll be right back." I nodded and watched as Stasia took her daughter to a different part of the house.
I leaned back on the couch and got comfortable. Something told me this wasn't going to be as easy as I wanted it to be. "So." I started. "You guys have a nice house." Stasia nodded. "It's Rich's, I just moved in here after I gave birth." I nodded slowly. "Oh okay..." "...I heard about your dad..." Stasia cleared her throat. "How've you been holding up?" She looked down in her lap and sighed. "I've been doing better.....better than before." "What was going on before?" I asked lowly. " Stasia chuckled. "You can stop acting like Rich didn't tell you already. "Okay, well what's up then? Why have you been acting out like that??"
Stasia shrugged. "It's my way of coping I guess." I sighed. "You know that you can't do that Stasia, you have a daughter now, and if something ever happened to you, you would Rich as a single father, you know you don't want that." Stasia looked away from me and nodded. "I know.." I could tell her voice was cracking. "So maybe you need to take Rich's advice and go talk to someone." Stasia shook her head. "No, you out of all people should know how I feel about telling some random person my business." I nodded.
"I know, but it's for your own good Stasi, you have alot of feelings and emotions pent up that obviously you can't handle on your own, and you need to vent to someone...someone that can give you help." She was silent. "I get that you might not want to, but it's for your own good, you can't just check out of life and not care." Stasia wiped her eyes and sighed. "I know I was wrong for pushing Rich away when he was trying to comfort me, I know I was wrong for ignoring my daughter for a few days, I know all of this, and I already feel bad enough, I don't need a therapist telling me all that."
I shook my head. "A therapist isn't going to blame you for what you done, they're gunna help you through this tough time and get you back on track." Stasia nodded slowly. "Fine, I'll think about going." I shook my head. "No, YOU ARE going, I already called and set you up with someone I know." Stasia frowned. "With who?" "Remember the woman I used to go to to talk about my mom?" Stasia nodded. "That's who your seeing." She let out a sigh and sat back on the couch. "Well that was nice of you.....you know.....since we aren't friends and all." I sighed.
"Look Stasi, Im tired of arguing with you about what happened with you and August, it's not fair that I forgave him and I can't forgive you." Stasia shook her head. "No, I kinda get it, I hurt you and even though I've said I was sorry, I knew you needed your space from me." I nodded. "I did, but we've been friends for to long to stop now and just hate each other." Stasia chuckled. "I don't hate you, I cant hate you....your my sister." She grabbed my hand and smiled.
"Can we start over again? I've missed having someone to talk to." I chuckled and nodded. "Yeah, we can start over, why not." We both smiled at one another and hugged each other tightly. "Well." I started. "I guess ima get going....you can call me after your appointment if you want." Stasia smirked. "Actually....I was going to ask you if you wanted to come with me, you know, for support." I nodded. "Of course." I walked out to the front door with Stasia right behind me. "Thanks for coming, I really appreciate it." I fanned her off. "Sure, but call me tommorow so we can meet up for your appointment, I got some last minute Christmas shopping to do."
Stasia chuckled. "Presents?" She asked with a smile. I shook my head. "No, I need a dress for this party I'm going to." She nodded. "Oh a Christmas party, that sounds fun." "Not exactly." Stasia frowned. "Why not??" I paused for a second, wondering if I should tell her or not. "...Augusts' girlfriend is throwing it." "Augusts' girlfriend?" I nodded. "It's a long story that I DO NOT wanna get into." Stasia laughed. "Okay cool."
".....Did you and MGK wanna come?" She shook her head. "No, it's Amara's first Christmas so we wanted to do something here as a family." I nodded. "Right, well okay. I'll see you tommorow." I flashed her a quick smile before walking out to my car.
