A/N

I should emphasis that this book is rated PG-13... Not PG. There is a rather intimate scene towards the end of this chapter, and I have marked it between two '#' if you are not comfortable with reading it. Equally, this is not rated R, so will not contain anything more intimate that hot groping and making out... I'm not going to write any particularly erotic scenes. Just be warned, ok? If you're under twelve/thirteen or so, I'd advise you not to read in between the hashtags. At the end of the day, though, it's up to your judgement.

On another note... Did anybody else in Britain watch the oh-so-awesome 'Merlin' series? I'm addicted. I've spent the last week watching rerun after rerun. Lancelot... *growls* What a prick! Perhaps I should really be blaming Morgana though... Sorry, I'll shut up now!

Enjoy this chapter, and I'd really appreciate it if you didn't hunt me down at the end of the chapter... Pretty please? This IS the longest chapter so far, and is nearly twice my normal length at over 6500 words! Merry Christmas to you all!

To my surprise, the final few weeks of the semester passed with incredible speed. James had made a run for it after attacking another girl in Seattle, and the police were out looking for him. Tanya and Lauren had been their normal bitchy selves, but once they got wind of the fact that I was Edward's girlfriend - a word that filled me with immense pride every time I heard it - they eased off slightly.

I spent most of my free time hanging around with Edward, much to my father's disgust. But, whatever my mother and Rose had said to him had stopped a repeat of our first date. While he looked upon Edward with utter disgust every time he so much as caught a glimpse of him, and didn't allow him in the house, he no longer pointed a gun at his head.

The Christmas Dance that Edward had first asked me to was getting closer and closer to us, and Alice had turned to in dance-zilla Alice. In all honesty, it was driving us all insane - especially Edward, who had to live with the girl. I felt sorry for him really, but it was pretty humorous in its own way.

Regardless, by the time we were released from our final classes of the semester, the dance was all planned, and Alice had returned to being a normal human being. Emmett let out a whoop when we walked out of the revolving front door, and we all laughed at his ridiculous antics.

The boys were all heading over to the Cullen house to get ready, and Alice and myself were going over to Rose's place. We'd been out to buy our dresses in Port Angeles the weekend previously, and Rose had been told to stash then away in her closet for 'safekeeping' - so-called by Alice, of course.

We said goodbye to the guys, and then turned to walk towards Rose's car. Before I'd taken more than two steps, a warm hand wrapped itself around my upper arm and spun me around quickly. I laughed in surprise when I found myself inches away from Edward, and he smiled crookedly at me, his breath washing over my face.

"That," he murmured. "does not constitute as a proper goodbye."

"Sorry," I said, pressing a chaste kiss to the corner of his mouth. I grinned cheekily at him, and Edward narrowed his eyes at me.

"I'll get you back, Bella Swan. When you least expect it."

All three of us girls were giggling as we climbed into Rose's convertible after witnessing Edward's show, and they both started discussing their most recent sexual exploits with their significant others. I felt my face heat up as I listened to it. I couldn't believe that Rose too discussed this kind of thing like she was speculating about tomorrow's weather.

"So, Bella," Alice said, looking mischievous. "How are Edward's kisses?"

I covered my face with my hands, mortified.
