I was right work felt like it would never end but thank god it had now. It was now six o'clock and Leon said he would be round to pick me up at nine so I had a few hours to chill before him and the others would be there. Making it to my apartment in no time I slipped out of my shoes and jacket and headed straight for the kitchen for food. If I were going drinking tonight I was definitely eating a large dinner before going. Going into the freezer ignoring the cold air that was now attacking my already cold skin I looked around for something to eat. Deciding on chips and cheese I pulled the chips out of the freezer placing enough for myself onto a tray and putting it into the oven. whilst waiting for them to cook I sat down on the sofa and watched a The Ellen DeGeneres show until my chips were ready.
When they were I emptied them onto a plate, grating loads of cheese over the top as who doesn't love a lot of cheese and sat down to continue to watch Ellen. I hadn't realized how hungry I actually was as I had demolished them in record time. 'Well that sucks' I thought as I got up and put my plate into the sink along with the tray i'll just wash them tomorrow.
Heading towards my room I grabbed clean underwear and headed to the bathroom. Turning on the shower I quickly stripped and hopped in enjoying the heat surrounding me. The steam exfoliating my senses It felt amazing after a longish day. Picking up my coconut shower gel I washed my entire body making sure to get all the dirt and sweat off of me. Finally grabbing my shampoo and conditioner I massaged my head one after the other with both until my hair was squeaky clean. Turning off my shower I reached over and grabbed two towels from the towel rack placing one around my body and wrapping the other around my hair. Stepping out I dried myself then put on the clean underwear. Leaving the bathroom I headed over to my bedroom to find the hair dryer. After drying all of my hair I went to my closet and picked out, believe it or not a white knee length strapped dress and a blue checkered shirt. Weird dress I know but it is was I like to wear. I would never feel comfortable in a mini dress where you can see near enough everything or have my boobs hanging out. I liked to be comfortable especially if I am going to be drinking but that doesn't mean I couldn't wear my combat like boots fair enough they had a heel but it wasn't that big so I would be okay.Once I was dressed I decided just to straighten my long brown hair then add some foundation, a little bit of lipstick, some winged eye liner, black mascara and black eye shadow.
Looking at the clock in my room I noticed Leon and the others would be here any moment so making sure everything was switched up I left my room to gather up my bag and make sure my ID and purse were inside. Hearing a 'honk' from outside I walked over to my window to see Jess' Red Volkswagen parked up out front they had arrived. Making sure a second time everything was turned off I headed outside. Stepping outside and onto the pavement the cold air hit me once more all I could think as I ran to the car was 'why didn't I bring my jacket?'.
Finally reaching the car I opened the back door and climbed in.
"Hey sunshine" "Hey sweet-pea" "Hey" were the welcomes I received.
"Hey guys!" I half yelled putting on my seat belt.
"I soooo can't wait! Apparently the inside of the club is awesome and the DJ is the best in town. Oh I wonder if they will have those half naked waitresses"
"Doubtful" Correy tuned in. As you can tell Jess is always excited and looking forward to everything were as Correy is a fun person she just takes things a little too serious.
"No fighting you two or you both are grounded" Leon added. " Tonight is the time to have fun which we should seeing as this will be the first time in a while we have all been together" wiping away an invisible tear pretending to be upset Leon was being his usual drama queen self.
"Leon is right guys! Let's just enjoy tonight" Leon's and Jess' excitement rubbing off on me.
"Okay okay!" Jess continued "By the way babe you look absolutely stunning. I think we all do. We are going to rock this shit! Is that how it is said LaLa?"
LaLa is my nickname from everyone and I am the only rocker-type person out of all of our friends so they all try to mimic stuff they hear rock signers say thinking we all say it oh how I love my friends.
"Sure is love" Jess' face lit up after I had confirmed she was right it was like a kid on Christmas. For the rest of the way here we talked about what we thought the club would be like, if they would play decent music, how much fun it was going to be you know the usual whilst taking funny selfies all the way there.
We knew we were close to Crystal Lights because it was the brightest and most loudest building on the block. We parked the car at a car park across the road from the club and got out. The nights air causing goosebumps up my legs as we walked across the road towards the club. We didn't need to stand in line as Jess had paid to get us on the VIP list so we walked passed everyone standing in line up to the main door. Three men stood at the door two large men that looked a little scary and a small less scary man in a suit holding a clip board.
"Name?" The small man with the clipboard asked.
"Roberts"
The man looked down the list finally finding 'Roberts' on the list he nodded his head whilst stepping aside allowing one of the larger men to unhook the rope to allow us to pass through. Giving them a smile as we passed we headed inside the big wooden doors to the loud music and bright lights that hit us as we entered. The place was enormous. Due to the brightly coloured lights that were everywhere we couldn't tell what colour the walls were but it made the walls seem bigger. There were people everywhere and there were three different floors or so it would seem. There is a massive stayed on the far side where the DJ sat and a bar on each side of the club. Unfortunately for Jess there were no half naked waiters but it looked awesome.
We started out at the bar downing a couple shots each then two single drinks each well apart from Leon as he was the designated driver . The service was great and drinks were cheap to our surprise which made the night even better. The music wasn't too bad either I guess. I didn't hate it but I didn't love it. It was dance-able and I really enjoying myself dancing to the beat and singing back the lyrics to the DJ, well the words I knew and that weren't coming out in a total mess.
Eventually my feet got sore so I decided it was time for me to stop dancing so I headed over and took a seat beside the bar. I ordered a beer and watched the others enjoy themselves. Correy was dancing normally whilst Leon and Jess were dancing like they were back in the sixties it was quite entertaining to watch my friends really knew how to make me smile.
"Why are you drinking all alone?"
