Chapter 5

I met up with the oh-so-famous James woods. It's a little inside joke with our friends.

In the hallway, I said,"Hey, James."

"Hey A," he replied."How was your first class?"

"Not so good, "I said. "After finding out something is bugging Matt. Now, somethings wrong with Kylie."

"Why do you think that A?" He asked.

"Something just tells me by the way she acts with people. Maybe I should talk to her mom or something."

"A, I don't think that's a good idea."

"Why not James? Maybe she knows what's going on with her," I said.

"Anyways" he looked away, then back at me."What class do you have next?" He asked. I have chemistry."

I didn't notice he walked me away from our conversation about Kylie.

"Oh I have chemistry, too, with Mr.Benton," I said.

"Damn," he cursed. "I have Ms.Williams." he cried out.

I couldn't help it. I bursted out laughing as I went to class.

Of course, I choose to sit in the back again. I had nothing to do but read until other students get here.

I wasn't trying to listen on people's conversations, but I heard someone say that we are getting a new boy in class tomorrow. I'm not usually a nosy person, but couldn't help to hear with sharp nearing, and I heard everything they said.

"I wonder what he looks like," a girl said.

"Who cares," said a jock.

"I care," said another girl. Probably a prep.

Then it hit me I haven't seen Skye all day. Oh my gosh, where is she.

The door opened and sure enough, it was skye.

She sat next to me & popped her gum.

"Hey" she said, like it was no big deal.

"Where have you been," I said.

"I've been in class, my sweet, Audrey," she said.

She always does this when she knows I'm mad at her. I just glared and shook my head at her.

"Come on, A, don't be mad at me."

I Sighed. Any minute I would give into her soon. I know all about Skye's tricks and knew what she is about to do.

"Come on, Audrey, please forgive me."

I regret turning around because she was giving me her famous puppy dog face.

"Fine," I said, stubbornly.

She got up from her seat & hugged me.

"Where were you really," I asked her as she sat back down.

"If only I could tell you but I can't right now. After class I'll tell you, I promise. So, how was your day?" Skye asked.

"You wouldn't believe it, if I told you. So much drama."

"Tell me everything," she said.

"Well first off, Matt, was all in a bad mood & wouldn't even talk to me when I tapped him on his shoulder. He just ignored me. Then when I was in class with Kylie, she was being mean to people. So, I asked why she did it. But, now I'm convinced that she's being bullied," I said.

"I told James that I might ask her mom about it, and he was like A I don't think that's a good idea"

"Wow" she said surprised. "Um, don't hate me for this, but I kinda agree with James. "She popped her gum again. "A, if she's being bullied, she'll tell us."

"I don't know, S, I really don't think she will you should've seen her, Skye. She seemed so serious."

"Who would be stupid enough to bully her?" She asked. "You know how fast she can ruin a persons reputation."

"I know that but...I don't know."

"You worry too much, A. She'll be fine," she mulls over her words. "She won't end up in that. Not like you were. If that's what your worried about," she said.

"I'm not. She would never do that," I said.

The bell rang for us to go to third class.
