Chapter 9

If you ask why I'm grumpy this morning, my mother let my best friend Skye in the house to wake me up for school.

Today is Skye's 17th birthday so she got a new car and she wants to drive to school today.

After I got dressed she took me outside to show me her new car.

Her car is a Blue 2017 Camero, her family is pretty rich and Skye is mostly spoiled now. It's a long story that will be told soon it's very upsetting though so no doubt that you may cry.

Skye was so excited about her new car her mom even put in seat covers for her and a steering wheel cover.

Her dad installed changing lights in her car. All Skye has to get is a parking decal for school.

Last year for her birthday she got her license. She asked me if she wanted to take a ride in it.

"Well I am kind of tired of riding the bus so yeah why not" I thought.

She got in buckled up and turned on the car then turned on the radio.

I got in and buckled up as she was pulling out of my driveway.

Skye started to sing in the car to meant to live by switchfoot.

Skye would never say it but, she has a beautiful singing voice although she hardly sings in front of people.

Skye is super shy about singing there's only a few people she'll sing in front of which I'm one of those people.

Skye has always loved singing I told her multiple times she could make it as a singer.

When we're little Skye and I tried to put a band together but, I wasn't as good as a singer as Skye then.

I'm more of the rapper and she's the singer Kylie is a good keyboard player cause her mom made her take piano lessons when she was little, Matt is a good drummer and James is a good guitar player, Stacy is pretty good at electric guitar.

So anyways got distracted there for a minute.

Skye and I are kind of matching today except a few things I have a leather jacket on she has a jean jacket I'm wearing jean shorts and fishnet leggings she's wearing a jean skirt and fishnet leggings, other than that wearing the same shirt and boots.

We finally get to the school and she goes to the office to get a decal and made me go with her I mean I have nowhere else to go to.

We went back to the car to put the decal in her car then went to class I sat in the back next to Skye.

We weren't paying attention in class instead we were talking to see what she wants to do tonight when the door slammed shut.

I looked up to see a new guy it seemed like everyone had noticed him.

He stood in front of the teacher and handed him his schedule. The teacher pointed to the seat next to me so I put my head down.

He sat right next to me I could feel every girl glaring at me.

He then spoke to me which made everything worst.

"Hope you don't mind" he said.

I looked at him and finally got the confidence to speak.

"It's fine" I said.

"My names Sebastian Vince Davenport III" he told me.

"Audrey" I said shyly.

If I wasn't already confused with Bianca I definitely am confused now.

The rest of the class I could feel Sebastian staring at me a couple times I would even catch him.

I looked down and started drawing on a piece of paper.

Before class let out I tripped and Sebastian caught me before I fell.

"You should be more careful" he told me.

I couldn't say anything so I just looked in his eyes they were bluish or greenish.

For a minute I felt like I'm in a trance I couldn't look away I was trying to look away but I couldn't.

Finally he let me go and I walked out of the room. Once I leaned against the wall so I wouldn't have a panic attack. I started to turn the corner which I immediately regret because I saw Bianca kissing some football player.

I ran to class so she didn't see me and sat in the back.

I texted Bianca and told her we couldn't see each other anymore. I was looking done tears almost coming down my face.

Sebastian came in class late I looked up and made eye contact with him.

He looked concerned I didn't even know him why would he care what's wrong with me.

He sat next to me, the lights were off in class cause we were watching a movie.

"Why are you crying" he said in a calm soothing voice.

It made me feel safe and wanted so I gave him a half hearted smile.

He slipped his hand in my jacket pocket and whispered don't open it till you get home.

I nodded my head as an okay but secretly I was really curious now what it was.

Would you like me to take you home after class.

I whispered yes my voice kind of cracking from the crying I had done.

After class was over I walked to Sebastian's lime green viper that he was pointing to.

I got in the car and buckled up. His car was nice on the outside and inside.

He got in and pulled out of the school parking lot and drove me home. I asked him if he wanted to come in he got out of the car.

He followed me in the house and followed upstairs in my bedroom.

I sat on my bed Sebastian sat next to me. I smiled at him softly I turned away.

"So why we're you upset in class today"he asked me again.

"It's a long story" I told him.

He shrugged it off and laid on my bed I sat up looking at the wall.

I laid down with Sebastian and fell asleep.
